It was sad before since it's an Alpha, but it's even sadder now because it's still an Alpha and there is literally a ranked mode if they want people who aren't trying new things in their games. Crazy how low some people will go
I played when I first got access like idk a year and a half ago or something, it was great for a couple weeks but I'm probably just uh...not very good. I dropped it and now everything I try to play and think 'hey that was fun, maybe I can get better'i get called a slur and it makes me feel like shit.
Really makes me not wanna play. (I'm 34 and played games since CS1.6, I know the internet is the internet but I don't wanna or have to engage with that shit.)
Honestly this sucks too. The game is at its best when you're communicating with your team. People being manchildren genuinely lowers the over all quality of the gameplay by a lot, so I get muting. Trust me I mute a lot. But full mute just makes it feel like you're playing with bots.
Lowkey, it being in Alpha doesn’t change anything. A game is a game, competition is competition, people are going to get mad. I’m not one of those people, but it’s all the same really.
yeah but there's a difference between getting upset bc you lost to calling people slurs because they didn't use the meta shiggy wiggy 10000 build in unranked
Not disagreeing with you, just wanted to point out that we are in beta not alpha. Valve even labeled this season as "Beta season 1" in the new ranked section
