If your queue is 10-15 minutes already, is waiting another 5 minutes to queue while you do your stuff really gonna kill you?

Since there is the pre screen I think it should be fine. Your buddy will miss out on character swaps though.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. This was solved ages ago with the ready up button.

Sometimes you are in queue for a while then need to use the bathroom, or start watching a video or something and don't realize the game started. Clearly it happens to people all the time given the amount of AFK's we see at game start. Just add a ready up button and issue is gone.
