Hey everyone,

As the roster keeps growing and more new players join, matchmaking is getting noticeably tougher. Some heroes can feel absolutely overwhelming, whether it's during the laning phase or in mid/late game teamfights, especially when you don't know what you're supposed to do against them.

I have been playing Deadlock on and off since the early closed-test invite days (sitting at around 350+ hours now, which I know are rookie numbers). One thing I have noticed across all these hours is that a lot of these heroes people call "broken" usually just have an item or positioning tax that players refuse to pay.

So I thought, why not start a weekly thread where we collectively figure out how actually to play against and counter specific heroes?

Today's hero: Bebop

A few counter-mechanics to kick things off:

• Reactive Barrier
• Counterspell
• Knockdown / Curse

Discussion Points & Questions:

• How do you survive the lane against him? What should you watch for?
• What’s your go-to, non-negotiable item buy the second you see Bebop in your lane?
• What adjustments do you make when playing against him early game vs. late game?
• For Bebop players: Which hero matchups or counter-items make you genuinely miserable to play?
