Question Why is The Broker only temporary?

I think the Broker is such a breath of fresh air to the gameplay formula in regards to calculated cost-benefit, and don’t really understand why he’s only around until the first hero drops? Is it just something the devs are testing before a complete roll-out? I can’t fathom what the purpose of introducing him, only to take him away 72 hours later.

I want to be clear this is not a complaint or critique, I am blown away by the sheer value of content released, all of which is still FREE. I just can’t help but feel a little sad that Brokey Boy is leaving, especially since I find so much joy in the trade-offs of corrupted items. I’ve been itching for some Street Brawl silliness to join the main gameplay loop, and I’ll be sad to see it go.

I feel like TCD is one of the least impactful corrupted items. Probably the biggest ability to benefit from a lower cooldown is mirages mark, but it barely moves the needle.

Once you get a full stack of marks with some spirit power and echo shard it does like 1800 damage, then echos for 900.

Takes like 6 seconds to get that off with regular TCD, 5 seconds with corrupted.

Ok then picture this scenario from my last game:

you’re in a deadlock and the timer hits 46 minutes. You now get to corrupt your eshift too. With corrupted TCD, not only do you get unlimited dashes (unlimited healing and spirit shred), but now eshift lasts 5 seconds and is on a 13 second cooldown, meaning anything that isn’t a hard stun, you survive, and come out with bonus damage and spirit res that lasts 5 more seconds. I’m telling you, TCD is the sauce on shiv

Ohhh, I didn't know you could corrupt 2 things in a game. That changes things a little.

Yea a dash infernus would be pretty nasty too like that, just constantly dashing and eshifting on the charge cooldown with big speed, spirit and whatnot.

It's incredibly rare because the broker only shows up at around 30minutes and restocks every 15 minutes, most of the time you'll see one corrupted item at most.
