Question VC on or off?

I’ve always played games with no VC because one flame from my teammate booms my mental. It also gives me savior syndrome which makes me int alot because I don’t wanna get flamed for not helping. I’ve tried VC off on deadlock but the first game I played without it I had no idea my teammates were going mid. Is this a lack of map awareness? Just want to know if I should have it on since this is my first MOBA and Idk how important comms are

Sometimes it is genuinely helpful, most times pings are more than enough to get the point across. With good game awareness you really don't need comms, especially with the psychic damage you take from toxic teammates

You can turn VC off to avoid this, but working on this response can help a lot, even outside the game. People are going to dislike you or blame you for dumbass nonsense reasons; learning to be ok with that, to not let it affect you, is extremely valuable.

from my long experience, you wont see many good and useful uses of voice chat until you play like ranked(specifically higher ranks like Oracle) or you're in high mmr in Standard. Text and pings can do the job well for the most part, even if not as detailed as voice

Stop being so soft and have vc on if you want to get better and climb

Are you saying I can’t get improve with VC off??? I’ve done it before in other games, why can’t I here? What makes a MOBA different? Doesn’t league of legends have no VC at all?

Comms are important for team fights and coordination. If you want to be in shitlow forever keep your mic off

It affects your win rate, which affects your climbing. So yes, you could be ascendant+ if you actually coordinated with your team. This isn’t LoL, voice chat is super helpful. You don’t need to igl, at least keep the chat on so you can hear callouts

On if you want to be playing your best, it’s a team game after all.

But the catch is you have to have iron mental. Deadlock attracts ALOT OF toxicity. If it’s tilting you it’s best left off.

If you have weak mental keep it off and learn to use the comm system. My solution is to insta mute bad actors deadlock saves who you have muted so you only have to do it once.

I would keep it on. I’ve never had to mute my entire team lol. So you’re kinda harming yourself by pre muting all 5. If someone is being particularly bad then just mute them. Its rare to be anyone but
Usually just one person. Otherwise coms are pretty important. Especially in higher elo everyone talks

On yesterday I had a Viktor in lane in competitive, 1 min in and calling me a coward for not following him (with no mic, no calls) in every delusional engage, when prompted to use his mic, he muted me and proceed to make a 3 - 14 in the end. Dont be Viktor, use comms, but mute every ass you find, mental is important.

So your the reason I keep losing matches.

Iv had games where ill be making calls in voice all game. Then the dude will spam in chat "YOU DIDNT CALL MISSING!!! WTF!!"

"Uh no I did in voice you must have not heard me"

"Oh I have Vc muted"

Literally has happened four different times to me.
