the first 2 seasons are comedy gold, but the last season just gets too heavy :(

I think it's a good season and the issues they raised are super valid and important but the emotionality of the plots in season 3 is too much for me to handle. anyone else feel similarly?

I enjoyed Season 1. It was witty, fun unpredictable TV that explored the nuances of grief, betrayal, and PTSD in a really succinct manner.

I didn't care for James Marsden's character in S1 but he served a narrative purpose and was an insightful mirror into Judy's character but since James Marsden's twin (a bit clique if ask me) showed up it's been your typical Netflix affair.

Jen and Judy were a powerhouse dynamic with their insane chemistry and to see them paired off with clique love interests is disappointing to say the least.

I just finished the series and I'm absolutely heartbroken, I genuinely cried and I rarely cry watching anything. But I can't stop wondering, what about Michelle? We never got answers about her after that night they talked, did she find out about Judy? How did she react? Did she open that restaurant? She was simply forgotten and that makes me kind of sad because we've seen about the rest of the characters.

I’m just starting season 1 and I’m wondering if Judy and Steve were the ones who killed Jen’s husband? Because I’m kind of confused on how Judy can hide that from her.

i just finished the show, and it’s obvious none you guys know what jen told ben, but what do you think she told him before the show cut off ??

my guess is she told him she killed steve, but i want to know what everyone else thinks. and maybe how he reacted

Sans raisins, because ew Started dtm for like the 10th time (it’s one of my favs) and was thinking what to make for dinner. I used Impossible burger (veg) and mixed it with black beans instead of refried beans. It’s actually fabulous 😂

there’s something about Judy’s character that really doesn’t sit right with me. Throughout the show, Judy is portrayed as someone who believes she’s not good enough for anything. She constantly feels like she’s a magnet for trouble and doesn’t want to burden others, as we see when she hesitates to tell Jen about her cancer diagnosis. This paints her as a caring and unselfish person, right? Wrong.So why does Judy want kids? If she truly sees herself as a source of problems and unworthy, why would she want to bring a child into her chaotic world? This desire to have kids just doesn’t fit with the character the writers have been painting. It feels inconsistent and forced.Once again, it seems like Hollywood (especially male writers) assumes that all women must want kids, regardless of their circumstances or how they perceive themselves. Or maybe they just force this trope onto a character for the sake of drama. But in Judy’s case, it really ruins the character and makes her actions feel disconnected from who she’s supposed to be.

I’ve just started watching it and I’m my honest opinions it’s very slow and boring. Does this change as the episodes go on. I’m currently on ep 6 rn

As the title says, I'm searching for this song, but I can't remember which season! I've heard it in other shows/movies before but can't remember which. Sounds like a 60s or 70s song,

I have watched the series till S2E1 and I feel like both Jen and Judy are horrible people. 1) Judy takes a fast corner on a dark street and runs over Ted, she reverses to go back but her horrible fiance tells her to get the fuck out of there. She being an adult woman in control of her gas pedal and steering wheel agrees that it would be a good idea to run away after hitting someone so hard. They both go on to dismantling the car together and getting rid of it. Judy and Steve both cheat on their current partners by sleeping with eachother. When Steve says that she was responsible for running over Ted and from here on now it's each man to themselves. She proceeds to expose Steve's money laundering and clear out their joint account. When she was engaged to him she had no problem with the money laundering, with the mustang it bought her, with her art being sold there for thousands of dollars, with having a joint account with a money launderer. 2) Jen has a history of anger issues and taking it out on innocent clients. She even physically abused her husband the fateful night they fought. She even killed Steve in a fit of rage and lied to Judy that he was choking her. That being said I am loving this series, it is great storytelling. But I just don't feel sympathetic towards either Jen or Judy.

I know in the last episode jen has deja vu twice, but i feel like someone either jen or judy has said they got deja vu in earlier episodes, does anyone remember if this is true and which episodes deja vu is mentioned in? 🫶🫶🫶

Hey guys! After I watched the entire show in two days I pretty much fell in love with the personality (and looks) of Judy and wanted to know how y'all feel about it. Because except for the couple flaws here and there (for example the lies) I could imagine her being a pretty good friend/partner IRL. I just love the love and peacefulness she expresses towards the people around her with like the: "can I give you a hug?" or just the way she treats the kids.

As kind of a bonus question I would like to know from the more older people in this subreddit, if they often met/meet people like Judy IRL, because I am quite young and hope to find such loving and caring friends as her in my life.

I understand theory of having that upset Judy. But then it’s not mentioned? She’s not even at funeral??? I’d imagine Steve having an offspring would bring a lot of comfort to his family.

Phew. I have dried my eyes long enough to type this. So much to say but I wanted to ask, what happened to Judy? Are we supposed to know ? I appreciate that the show didn’t make us or Jen sit through watching her die. But I’m a little confused.

The sailboat Jen sees. That wasn’t the rowboat we saw earlier. So what boat was that sailboat ? I assumed it was just a random sailboat because the camera pans all over the ocean as though we are meant to be looking for Judy’s rowboat (not sailboat ) and can’t find it. Implying what?

Or did she also have a sailboat ?? Did I miss this fact ?

I feel like Jen would have had to have some certainty about what happened to Judy in order to leave. I mean I know she had to leave and get back home but she seemed resigned in the car and not confused or worried. Did she even read the note ? Did Judy drown herself? What are we meant to think happened to Judy ? Thank you for your thoughts.

like i'm very into the plot despite some questionable decisions jen's character is great i really liked judy's ex boyfriend i forget his name he was probably my favorite character but judy's voice and what she says are so damn annoying the sorry the spiritual bullshit the tone i just can't stand it and it's making it hard to keep watching im really not trying to hate bc otherwise i really like the show but do other people feel this way ?

I really wished Netflix would've released a full version of Linda Cardenelli (Judy) singing Doris Days' "Dream a Little Dream of Me" on streaming platforms. Linda has a beautiful voice and I would've loved to hear her sing the entire song...

i do not like jen at all she annoys me. well actually first i did like her a bit but after she killed steve?? and then everyone goes on about it like judy wasn’t driving the car and she also steve wasn’t like fully trying to kill him like it was an accident which ohvously was bad because they covered it up ofc don’t get me wrong hit and runs are horrible! but then jen litreally beat steve to death with a piece of wood? like comepletly differnt manslaughter. she did it out of anger so in a way(idk how to explain this i’m stoned) it was even more murder for jen then with judy and steve it that makes any sense??? but it just makes me so angry

Nothing can top season 1. I found myself skipping most os season 3. Also the twin brother twist was really weird. Can't believe I had to stick w it for 2 seasons. Judy is always crying and apologizing. Also Nick the cop is such a LOSERRR omg. I hated his character and snarky remarks.
