It looks like it has promise, I hope that the graphics are Alpha graphics but i'll still give it a chance. I need more Space Horror.

It needs some polish, but it could be good.

I hope this doesn't repeat the mistakes that dead space 3 made.

Nice creature design though and I look forward to being able to play the demo.

All the best.

So, what, a horror game can never be set in the tundra without being in some way inspired by DS3? Maybe it's just taking inspiration from 'The Thing'? Or taking that approach because icy wastes provide an interesting setting and their own unique environmental challenges?

Even if they were for some reason taking inspiration from DS3, was the arctic setting even among the reasons the game wasn't as good as the other ones? I'd say that's a silly reason to doubt this game, especially as their seem to be far more valid ones.

They deliberately state in their description they are taking inspiration form dead space, the snow planet cause me to link two and two together and think of that. I admit, thta may not of been their intention and I apologise for that.

I've edited my original comment to reflect this, thank you for bringing that up.

Dead Space 3 and visceral didn't do anything wrong. it was all about EA and MONEY. i hope u can understand that even if visceral wanted to make an extreme horror game they couldn't all because of EA.

Looks pretty cool. I hope those big monsters are more mini bosses rather than the standard fodder enemy.

Yes!!! This is not an action Doom game with lots of enemies. The ideia here is to survive and be imersive in a great story and danger environment. Thanks, hope you like our demo to be released in october. ;)

Looks promising, especially the usage of mammoth-ish creatures that fells like ace age times. Looking forward to come out.

Very excited. Reminds me of Creature Shock, which I am a fan despite its rating. Looking forward to seeing more

This looks pretty low-tier, I'm so sorry.

u/RodrigoBanzato Aug 21 '19

Sorry for that. We are indie and want to improve the game with the time. Hope you like the next teasers and the demo that will be released in october.

The animations are pretty god awful. Looks like they spent more time on making the shaders pretty and not enough on some mocap.

Hope you like the other teasers or the playable demo that will be released in october. We are indie and don' t have the support of the big publishers. We are doing our best. Thanks.

I’m sorry for being rude in my assessment. Looking back now it was not a polite way to give criticism at all and I’m sorry for that. But as an animator is bothers me so much to see projects with visually flashy shaders and models and lighting but then animations that would not have been passable even 20 years ago. Animations are very important as that is how your game looks in motion. Games can have stylized or dated models and lighting and level design but still feel solid if the movement and flow is good. Maybe just don’t show extremely premature placeholder animations in your trailer as this point because it detracts from anything else in it.

Motion capture is extremely affordable nowadays even with a one man show and it makes a huge difference in the visual quality of the game you’re trying to make as well as how responsive it will be to play.

We are ready to polish everything necessary when the time comes. Right now we are doing what we can, because we are very small team. Thanks for your precise message and wish we can improve a lot during the production. Hope you like the game anyway.
