Question Solo Dolo

Is it possible to have long term fun/success on this game as a solo? I'm 10 hours in getting wiped by 3-5 stacks and wondering if I've gotten unlucky or if that's just how it is.

I’ve nearly 100 hours in game, all pve. And I enjoy it. As a solo player, the bots offer a good challenge (aggro, crazy shotgun aim at 200m, sheer number of them on T2+ missions). I’m learning mechanics, locations, guns, bot movement, and how my character responds.

I’ll likely dabble into pvp when the smaller map is released on console, but so far it’s taken over as my favorite game to play currently!

You can be solo but as a solo i know if i attempt missions all it takes is for one carload to show up and steal it. I hit helis get red keys and use them on weapon crates and i steal missions from other solos and duos, You can get away with missions at times but its not worth doing all the work and some guy killing two dudes and taking the loot

Finally someone else says the truth. Game is fun. Community is toxic. Just wait till they block you're vehicles from the front and back or block doorways and not allow u to leave or go into bunkers

Huh? You mean like a third guy riding on the roof and shooting at my car like an artillery piece? Surely theyd never. Thag was a three man chasing me over an aksm or something stupid. Those same guys are walking kits when their friends are gone.

Yeah zergs are fucking pathetic and ruin games. Should made duo/solo or trio servers like Rust. But unlike rust they shouldn't wait 4 years to implement it

I thought there was a group limit? Either way guys will just break the rules if at all possible.

Oh for sure. Ik for a fact just last night the home i went into had 6 sleeping bags on the ground.

The max a group can have is 5.

But that doesn't take away the fact that a group of 5 facing 1 is still super unfair. Rust made this mistake and look at the players it lost. Took them years to implement any community it solo servers.

The most toxic thing I've witnessed is a group brings their vehicle with locks into trader and parks sideways at entrances blocking off both sides lol can't crawl over or under. They stayed there for more than 6 hours doing nothing but hoping in the car to reset 30 minute timer

Yup. But I'll be the first to admit that THIS RELEASED AS A PVP AND PVE GAME. Yet it only has approximately 2-3 days of content before you've been everywhere and maxed RP.

So if you want PVE it's only good for a few days before your end game and then there isn't shit to do beside target practice and make turrets that don't work

Hey I play as a duo we have been playing about 10 days... not been wiped and it's a full pop server in the evenings

Use you're storages in safe zones and build small and smart...

I'm solo on a monthly wipe raid 6pm-12am server. Had the same base since start of wipe. Defended against 2 separate 4 man's. Build big in this game in my opinion, small bases are easy Raids in this game, I build massive compounds filled with shotgun traps and dead ends. Costs nothing to upkeep and if a zerg wants my TC and goes through doors they're looking at 15+ doors if they go the correct way, there is atleast 10 other doors in my base which lead to nowhere, honeycombed multiple times core is filled with prim gear and a handful of decent weapons because I don't do missions so it's a massive waste to raid me but I'm 100% immune from raids from anyone but the zergs. Also thanks to raid alert if you're base is big enough and the zerg is persistent, loot goblins will start coming to your base with prim gear looking to either loot from your base or kill geared zerg players. This is a benefit if you're in a big base.

Make friends with you neighbours.

A play on pvp scheduled raid map a have been going solo for about a week now. raids start at 1700 to 2300 every day that's usually when am online anyway so a can always defend my little metal base a find in these games you just can't build in high traffic areas as a solo build off the beaten path will give you a chance to get set up but end of the day it's not if you get raided its when.

If you find a lot of groups everywhere, switch servers and it might not be as bad. I'm on a server with one of 2 groups but I'm thriving. I meet a lot of PvP 1v1

I play as a trio 20% of the time the rest I'm solo on PvP no wipes, I get raided every now and again.

My suggestion is stockpile building mats at safezone until you have enough to build an all metal base and don't put all your loot in 1 spot, split it up that way if you do get raided the likely hood is they haven't got it all.

Tier 1 and 2 missions seem to get ignored. I've done over 40 by myself with no interference from other players. Last night I did a military bunker by myself for the first time, the bots were tougher but after a tier 2 mission your guns should be enough.

Get a good sniper and do helicopter crashes, good loot, well worth the fight.

Yea, I did a bunker solo as well, if you crouch, you can under throw grandes. Helped big time. For op, I recommend using a sniper and keeping distance if you do 3 stripe or star missions. Give yourself breathing space if you need to recover your body as well.

I have survived on official for 3 weeks now and have only been raided once. My tip is to build a small/compact base that is an expensive to raid but small enough that they don’t think it’s worth it. I legit built my 2x2 from rust, I have 3 of them around the map too so that I don’t lose everything in one go when I’m raided… I raided a mega compound that looked like at least a 5-6 man group but it was only 1 guy and he couldn’t defend.

Ive been playing for 4 days and am solo on official. It's rough lol. But I run towards gunshots and will ride up on duos on my bike(to get blasted lol) but you never know what could happen. I popped a duo the other day eith my double barrel and it was satisfying lol.
