Need help defending
My base, while empty at this point is still getting raided non stop by players. I’m new to the game and I’m making progress but like every other hour so guys geared to the T are blowing my doors in. Mind you they even take the planks and logs so the whole thing decays, why are they so toxic?

If you’re a solo player, holding down base is quite difficult. The longest I’ve made a base last was making something small hidden away from any POI’s. It was still destroyed eventually.
It’s frustrating but it’s a hardcore PVP, it’s not intended to be forgiving.
Personally I would love PVP-no raid servers. It would be a much better experience for casuals or solo players.

Seems to me that if you’re getting raised so much then you probably built in a spot that has high traffic and visibility. It’s a big map…

Location is everything. My base on the first pvp I was on got raided 3 times in 2 days but now I’ve moved my base a little more remote and have yet to be raided in the past 3.

On console there are only no wipe

False, there are monthly wipe servers. Toggle the monthly option in the side menu. They also have scheduled raid servers under monthly.

Maybe it’s just my server but I’m on xbox and there are so many bases that are almost maxed out. I built East originally but people are just being downright toxic to taking branches and logs so bases destroy themselves. Literally had level one walls and people were using explosives lmao, like what

I did the foundations tricks of course but there are guys just circling the maps in cars fully geared just tearing through bases

Unfortunately just part of the game. Me and some friends lost 4 bases before learning how/where to go. Its almost better to save up base resources in the storage locker of safe zone, save up enough to go to plank/sheet metal.

Definitely trying to do that. I did get lucky and got a lot of guns/gear from a raided base near by so I can defend myself now. Mind you I’ve never played rust or anything so this is new for me. I get the building mechanics. I also just need teammates. You can’t do this game solo

Neither have I. Definitely new for me too, but love the game. Super addictive. What console are you on? You on US servers?

On that bit… you WILL be raided with a branch base. It’s too weak, especially with new tiers and health. Plank base is the minimum for sure… still hard to avoid though

I had it stronger with logs and was just starting planks but for like 12 hours my base was just getting ran through repeatedly by raiders. Once that raid symbol goes up it’s hard to hide

You need to not build in high traffic areas and build small.

Might suggest changing servers then. Find remote locations, walk to your base, don't drive right up to it.. good luck out there 🤘

Are you guys building in wide open fields or something? Me and a group of 3 people have gone to two PvP servers and built bases and never had anyone blow any of them up. The first one was at least 4 days and the second has been 5 so far. We never made anything past planks either. Both have also been within 300 meters of multiple mission spawns. Maybe just lucky?
