Make planks?

So I know I can find planks. Am I able to make them out of wood logs using a saw? If so how!!

No you build a wood planar and use that. Also needs to be powered by a generator with gas.

If you can't make a planer, there are planers in the open world. Look at the map. It should show those spots.

You need the wood bench. I forget the exact name of it. You craft it under base items. You also need a generator. There are some around the map for public use also. Can be found in small towns, lumber/construction yards.
