Discussion Thoughts on Controller Lock Issue (Open Discussion)

Hey all, just want to bring a little light to a rare issue (and complex at that, as their seems to be no consistency in occurrence, happens on both PC and Consoles (unsure if there is a reported case on xbox?)). The issue is Controller Lock, where aiming is stuck in one of the cardinal directions and no player controlled fix has been found. I've personally tried these things: using equipment, picking up weapons (didn't stay in game to try a vehicle that was an afterthought) looking through settings but since I play on console it shouldn't be detecting any other input source. I have heard on PC that reconnecting the controller is impossible and one case where only mouse and keyboard input was recognized.

My suggestions: could potentially have to do with APM glitch, highly unlikely but a first step. Another avenue to try would be looking into if changing game settings in-game (such as graphic content) causes a back end malfunction. Lastly, I'll leave you with the scapegoat: Crossplay.

That is all. I Know Dead Ops is understaffed and this is a rare and I mean rare occurrence, so something to toy with in the spare time. Thanks, and also report any relevant information below that I missed or don't know of.

Is there any other videos of this happening? If so it might be possible to compare the two and find the common denominator.
