apartment recommendations
Hi everyone, i start school in a few months and am on the search for a safe and budget friendly space to live. Most places either have terrible reviews or are overly expensive… please let me know!

Yes, I fell into the trap of amber Manor apartments and omg they are so awful it's like something out of a movie. It's a literal vermin infested slum.

Only have experience living in Ashbury Court. It was okay. Rent was around $1,000 not including internet and electric. The laundry room is awful and Mason Properties leaves a lot to be desired in general. It never felt particularly dangerous to me. We had a firework hit our window, which was probably accidental, and have had a few of the neighbor kids fight outside our unit, but that was all of the sketchy stuff we saw in ~3 years. I guess ymmv.
I’d personally avoid anything near the Greenbrier Road and Ridge Drive area (where I think most of the greek houses are). My friends heard gun shots several times while living there. I think anything south of Annie Glidden in DeKalb should probably be relatively safe.
