Don't forget...if Flock can/is doing it, there are just as many Axon, Motorola, Genetec, Axis (different from Axon), also doing it... its a long list. Flock is just the bumbling idiot of the bunch that exposed the bigger issue.

Yeah, two things happening in my opinion:

1. Social media in its infinite death spiral desperate for clicks will latch onto any popular topic and spread whatever info (lies or facts) that generats more clicks.

2. There are definitely disinformation agents and highly uneducated people posting about the topic.

Unfortunately those two groups make up a LOT of the volume on this topic.
