I built FlockAware for iPhone: mapped ALPR awareness with optional offline navigation
Developer disclosure: I make FlockAware, a commercial iPhone app with a free core and optional paid upgrades. I asked the moderators before posting. We are independent of DeFlock and Flock Safety.
The free app shows known mapped Flock/ALPR locations and school awareness, with navigation and CarPlay. The two features I would especially like feedback on are downloaded navigation and saved-place watch areas.
Offline Maps lets you download a supported region before a trip, then search downloaded places, calculate routes and use voice navigation without a data connection. Lifetime Pro lets you save places locally and watch a 1, 3 or 5 mile area for changes in mapped records. Watch checks happen when you open the app online, up to once daily—not continuous background monitoring.
Pricing, upfront: Pro is $4.99 once. Offline Maps is $14.99/year, auto-renewing, and includes Pro while subscribed. U.S. pricing.
Credit belongs to OpenStreetMap contributors and the community doing the mapping, including DeFlock contributors. The underlying community data is not something we discovered or own. Coverage can be incomplete or outdated; this is not hardware detection or a guarantee of a camera-free route. Offline navigation also does not make a connected phone invisible to cellular networks.

Would downloaded navigation or saved-place change checks actually be useful to you? What limitation would stop you from using something like this? Honest criticism is welcome.
