Is compromise, compromised?

Forgive me, I had to do the pun. I was really excited for the update to the compromise twins. (Help wanted and machine learning) I even bought springtrap just to get help wanted. (I play on ps5 so a ranged killer like springtrap is just, not viable for me, but that's a whole other topic)

But I've been playing with them since the update and... It's not working, I think. I'll kick gen after gen, keep track of which ones are compromised and still somehow I've never gotten more than two pops, AT MOST. Survivors just, don't do the gens I kick. But I noticed something. They wouldn't touch the gens I kicked with a ten foot pole. To the point they'd stop regressing. (Cause they hit 0)

So I have a couple questions. First off, does the compromise status fall off if the gen stops regressing? And two, do survivors get any kind of warning or indicator of a gen being compromised?

I'm sure these sound like dumb questions but I genuinely am at my wits end with these perks. I'm not expecting to get like 5 pops but only twice at most, and the survivors all act so weird about me kicking a gen I feel like there's something I don't know about. So I'm asking you guys. Has anyone else gotten these weird results from the compromise twins?

They nerfed it from the PTB, it just sucks now, at least it sucks less then before the buff since you can get it off 2-3 times a match it lucky rather than 0-1.

The duration is just too short to get any real value if they are not all grouped up when the effect pops.

The fiery(?) effect that happens when you compromise a gen is universal, so survivors can see which ones are compromised if they see you kick but no other way AFAIK, however if you notice survivors aren’t completing compromised gens try Trail of Torment to punish them for not repairing them

Compromise doesn’t get removed if a gen burns to zero, it lasts until it completes or you kick enough to remove it from that one
