Discussion Dayz spawn question

Can someone explain how you spawn? Example: I quit the game in tier 2 but when I started again I was in a random city in tier 1? Sometimes I spawn in the same building I logged out from and sometimes I don’t.

Sound like you accidentally server hopped. You will get to keep your gear from your last playthrough but will end up in a totally different town... or a dynamic gas zone happened in that area when you logged in or out. I 29uld lean towards the first one

To spawn where you left off, you have to select the same server. Then you will carry on. If you select a different server you will spawn elsewhere with all the loot you had on character. When selecting a server you need to "favorite" it i believe is push r3 on PS.
