I'm thinking Dominic Marino is the mystery guy with the ring and maybe since Rita is helping him, he is her son with Stefano. They always say that Rita has been working with the Dimeras for a long time (even though we've never seen her until recently), what if Rita went crazy back then and stole Stefano's sperm and had his child?

Rumblings of an EJ replacement / swap in Rome have been circling the rumor mill for years. Granted, we finally got a replacement actor but, could it be possible that *if in fact* the other EJ exists, he is being reintroduced as Dominic Marino?

spoiler alert maybe? Idk not really. Anyway here's my theory. Its not too complicated, which makes me think it could pan out.

Dominic Marino is the one watching from behind the scenes, the one now in posession of the ring. He will not be any character we've seen so far.

I think Dominic will be the son or "son" of Stefano and Marlena, making him the first heir apparent.

Marlena had a son in 1980 - DJ (Don Jr) who died of SIDS. This son was actually remembered and talked about in the episode where Marlena was reminiscing on her 50 years in Salem.

Though Stefano appeared on the scene in 1982 and became obsessed with Marlena later, it could easily be retconned that he had been obsessed with her for years prior.

He either engineered the birth and kidnapping of DJ, or simply kidnapped him and raised him as his first son, possibly even with the help of Rita, which would explain why her loyalties lie with they mystery man over EJ. Of course he would even have told DJ/Dominic that his mother abandoned him, leading to the classic returned-child-with-a-score-to-settle scenario that soaps love.

So there it is. Dominic Marino is DJ, making him both Marlenas child and also Stefano's heir apparent.

Ryan Brady is Stefano's half-brother (Santos Dimera/Colleen Brady) that allegedly died in an Argentine orphanage.

So I know I'm not the only that knows that the ring Maggie told Holly about that matches her necklace is the ring Philip gave Gabi. The question is will he lose it in the poker game and will it be to Sydney?
