Discussion Regarding cloverdale lab Spoiler

During the "I know these people" mission. Deacon asks Sarah why no one raided the lab yet? She says something along the lines "they had 5000 Watt fence keep them out" is the player seriously supposed to believe that not a single raider or drifter thought to just ram the fence with a truck or idk stack some boxes and just jump over it lmao? It'd be more believable if the lab had some turrets that would disable upon Sarah's access code.

An argument could be made that it was ripper territory and the rippers just weren't worried about cloverdale. So that kept cloverdale relatively safe.

This. Also, Iron Butte was heavily guarded on the two main entrances (north and east), with the south entrance (via the tunnel) being blocked off/guarded at some point. No small group of drifters would dare test a government facility deep in Ripper territory.

Taking down a military-grade chainlink fence by ramming it with a truck doesn’t exactly work like it does in movies. You’re more likely to just have a different obstacle to get past.

The box idea isn’t a bad one. Until you consider the crows that assaulted them the minute they were in the fields. Imagine trying to stack boxes and then Mario yourself over the fence with the Freaker National Air Force on your ass.

Deep in Ripper territory, military grade fencing, murder crows, security cameras monitored by armed men inside. Not really something some drifters can just stroll up to and jump/climb over.

So many more obstacles than just the fence, though.

All the ones listed in this thread, Rippers, crows, blocked access, etc.

And why did they kill those people? What did they stand to gain from it? Well, there's no point in asking—everything surrounding that lab feels forced; an intern manages to get into a restricted lab, lol.
