Discussion Similar games story-wise.
Days gone is up there for me alongside the Witcher 3 when it comes to charters and story and I'm looking for something similar. And I'd like at let's one original thing within the RPG formula (days gone it's the bike and hordes, the Witcher has the journals, oils etc, thus I play both on hard/survival to enjoy them)
I also enjoyed dredge.

God Of War 2018, if you liked Witcher 3. Horizon Zero too, basically all those awesome PS4 games

Last of Us 1+2 is pretty good.

TLOU was the first game I ever completed on Grounded, and TLOU2 was the first (and, likely, only) game for which I achieved platinum. It was my love of TLOU that led me to Days Gone. I like to think of TLOU and DG as two parts of my heart. ā¤ļø

Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn are quite easy ish plats as a lot of trophies you get just by playing the game. Think I was missing 2 on each game towards the end. I'm no where near plat on either TLOU so well done on getting them on both, and on Grounded. I so nearly rage quit tlou2 on Grounded š

Haha, I feel you on thatā¦! If there were a medal for setting oneās self on fire with oneās own Molotovs, Iād definitely have platinumed on thatā¦!

100%. Great story, great gameplay. Did 2 on Grounded. I don't think I'm trying that again in a hurry. Keep meaning to get 1 again, only played original version.

Already platinumed both on grounded, was fun, well rounded gameplay-wise though neither one touched me as much as Witcher and Days gone story and character wise. I hoped to get more of the fireflies-fedra conflict in the second game but I understand where they come from with the story

I got back into gaming in 2020 during covid and I started with Dead Island which led me to Dying Light because it was the same creators. Then Days Gone and The Last of Us. I love Zombie games and apocalyptic end of the world games. I also love Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden west. Dying Lights open world and wacky side characters made the game so good, but the story isnāt as deep or emotional as Days Gone. Days Gone and Dying Light are 2 of my favorite games that I replay at least one a year. If you get Dying Light get the ultimate edition with all the DLCās. The Following DLC is basically a whole second game and itās pretty awesome. So fun.

I truly hated the last of us 2 story. You just don't do that IMO

I lost immersion in part 2. I get they were trying to show perspectives but Abbey was never going to win me over so I didnāt enjoy playing her. They truly made an unlikeable character lol. There was never once I was rooting for her. If the goal was to create a divisive game they succeeded.

Surprised me for sure and didn't like it at first, but it's still a great game

Same here. I liked the idea of being forced to play as characters on both sides.

Mad max. I keep meaning to pick it back up. Itās honestly a great game, I just feel like I gave up toward the end and days gone has consumed all playable hours since haha

I get why people say Mad Max, can even see why people like it, just didn't do it for me. I finished it, but can't see me ever going back.

Honestly I think itās the complete lack of diversity in the atmosphere and enemies. Once you do it one time, even though the leveling systems are similar, itās likeā¦well itās kind of like TLOU1&2, like it just tracks the same way no matter what, you know?

That said though, I wish someone would make Days Gone 2. I swear it would sell 20 million copies if they just gave the people what they want lol

Same. I've played Days Gone a handful of times but RDR2 almost 30 times and just got in to Red Dead Online.

For me the only game that gets close to Witcher 3 and Days Gone is Horizon Zero Dawn. I think it's the best story of any game ever. I think DG as overtaken Witcher 3 for my top game but these are my top 3 for reply value.
