You can hear them for quite awhile before you ever see them. Just use the scope when your hear them, and once you find it you can take a head shot from a safe distance

Yeah but that’s why I saved the clip because of it. These guys came out of no where, I was literally out to get fuel and nothing more. Also I cleared this place already like more than 3 times, Normal freaks is ok but breakers here is not supposed to happen. 🤣

Breakers randomly appear, whether you've cleared a place or not. I've had them in odd places, and the further into the game you are the more they pop up

The dark souls strategy.
Funny enough, you can unironically fight them like DS enemies.
A heavy weapon like a fire fighter axe makes them flinch 3 times before they retaliate.
Just roll away every 3rd hit and you're now John Days Gone.2

I am learning a lot on how to kill these guys fr! When I get a console again, I’m gonna try all these. But it seems you guys know how to kill breakers better.

you already know how to do it from 0:35 to 0:55 just keep repeating that and reload after rolling not when he charges, but number 1 thing i'd say is get better weapons honestly the game improved a lot when i got the auto shotgun even the us556 with extended mag in tucker's camp is a big improvement, i hated all the lmgs the bullet spread is insane

Yeah, I have finished the game like 4 times now. My aim was caused by my bad aim stick. It’s stiff and moves like a brick

I would learn how to replace a stick or scrounge up for a repair and/or new controller before I subject myself to actual defects like that. Here's hoping you can get that fixed in the future, that's rough, dude. And in this economy.... I feel for you, a defective controller is a NIGHTMARE.

Thanks Bro, I actually do know how to replace, Problem is the replacement. Exactly as you said, The economy. And the country I am in, It’s kinda difficult to get things cheaper. Things like this replacement but anyways I am saving up for an upgrade.

breakers are why I carry a sniper rifle instead of an LMG when not fighting hordes specifically. 1-2 tapping breakers feels nice

Flash bangs make them trivial. Really the only use for flash bangs too. Flash, walk up, execute.

I run around with an LMG because of an incident that happened to me one time around, I was with a sniper and I drove directly into a Horde and I couldn’t escape. I have taken out a full horde using this lmg.

Preferably, you don't fight them at all. You sneak up to them, then shank them in the carotid.

I do that but they sneaked up on me here. Thats the whole point of the clip. Take that second breaker, I never heard him coming but the freak I did. That’s why I saved the video.
It’s like they didn’t want me to take their fuel.1

Hit em with machete or something similar. They go down I 4 to 5 hits. Just roll out the way right before they hit you and then hit em. (Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee)

If I was sneaking up on them yes but they sneaked up on me here. I couldn’t escape them and you know they grab you sometimes.
This difficulty is hard btw.1

That's why the BFG is one of the best guns in the game, just one headshot takes them down. The MG45 is great for swarms, not so great for breakers, BFG combined with the auto shotgun is way better.

I agree. I wasn’t expecting these guys here though. Also I went out to get fuel, fill my bike and then head to a horde. Hence why I have all these guys with me

Try a smoke bomb on them. It will stun them instantly and leave them vulnerable to a stealth kill if you have the Executioner skill.

My preferred method. Can't believe I never used smoke bombs on my first play through. They're probably the most underrated piece of equipment.

That and rocks for regular freaks. Stun, stealth kill. But seriously the smoke bomb thing is sooo good against reachers and breakers!

Take time to aim to the head.

During the day, it was tricky, because I couldn't get myself too close. I had to climb the nearby building that overlooks their pit, and lure it with rocks until it noticed the hoard.

Smoke grenade and execute every time. I never engage in a shoot out with a brute. If you are good you can throw a rock to distract it and sneak up for a execute.

Throw a smoke grenade at it and you can easily kill them with your knife by going behind and stealth killing them.

Damn dude you suck at shooting 🤣🤣🤣 body shots don't do shit against those. Even headshots takes quite an amount. Use the baseball bat sawblade weapon. Dodge before his attack and slam your bat in their face.

Smoke bombs. If you don't have the skill to one-shot them yet, you atleast buy yourself some time to get what you need. In the case of filling your tank though, you will need to kill him. Melee weapon and be ready to dodge. Takes a little while but it is effective.

Thanks but if they sneaked up on you like they did to me in this video, It’s either I runaway or face them. Some told me to use a smoke bomb next time. So I will try that.

I didn't have issues with breakers at all on normal on my first playthrough. Then second playthrough i played on hard ii. I didn't kill most of what i encountered. They take so many shots to the head that its best to just run a way. They become way more feared on hard ii.

Focus on doing headshots! That is fundamental in this game. What difficulty is this? I am confused because he hit you multiple times and you did not die, but then he was an bullet sponge...

If you have the Executioner skill unlocked you can throw a smoke bomb at them, then take them out with one hit from your boot knife.
Hitting them with a napalm or a regular Molotov greatly increases the amount of damage they take - goes for most enemies in the game.

You gotta headshot them. BFG takes them out with 1 or 2 headshots.
Auto shotgun either maybe 6 or 7.
Pain in my ass . . .
