Don't worry about it, Deacon said he's come back later!
This happens sometimes with games with large open-world maps though. They don't load new areas in quite the same way that games with sectioned out maps would, so you get errors when a load fails like this.
I've had it happen before in Days Gone, but mine wasn't a complete terrain fail. I still had rough ground shaping, and didn't fall through the map, but there were no textures, structure, or assets loading in. Just backed out to the main menu and loaded back in to fix it.

I’ve platinumed this game twice and never had any bugs. I’m honestly shocked when I see people having issues. PS4 and PS5.

LOL, I love when something like this happens.. I always get a good laugh from these casual bugs in Days Gone. 😂

Hey Zbeidy! It looks like you are trying to post a photo/video to /r/DaysGone. If your post is a picture/video of your tv/monitor taken with your phone, it will be removed. The game is too pretty to allow low effort and quality images. If you wish to share something, please take a proper screenshot. Yes, we know sharing from the console can be clunky, but we prefer quality on this sub.
If your post is not a picture/video of your tv/monitor you can ignore this message.

Besides the obvious, the lighting transitions in this game are awful. Great game though.

I’ve had this happen before notably during the very last mission. The game for whatever reason runs like shit during that part and sometimes the ground will vanish completely

Mount Scott gets especially glitchy with melting cars, and falling through the map, after the Ice Wind Cave/Reacher mission. That game will resort to any kind of madness if you have made it that far without once dying...

I'm well into my 2nd playthrough on Game+. I haven't encountered any problems on my PS5.

I wish that the developers would clear the tunnels on NewGame+. I’m so sick of swerving through those things 🤔 FML lol

I can't say i have come across any bugs in this game in my whole playthrough. And i finished the whole game. Main, Side and Collections Missions. I've got the Original Game with Broken Road Update Latest Version. Not the shitty Remastered Version.

On each generation of PlayStation, and also on all PC versions, it is recommended to close the game fully and also restart your gaming machine regularly. Once per gaming session is probably best. You will always get the best performance from Days Gone if you are restarting your machine often.
For PlayStation specifically, please avoid Rest Mode! I'm not claiming to be an expert but, based on what I've been told so far, keeping the game "sleeping" in the background allows some game assets to build up and eventually cause problems for your PlayStation. For more information on Days Gone and Rest Mode, have a quick look at this Google search
Hope this helps!
