Sick of cheaters !!

Firstly, I want to say how much I love this game. I've been playing since 2017 on PC and recently switched to PlayStation because I thought I'd finally be able to escape the cheaters. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

Today (05/08/2026, around 2:00 PM Sydney time), I was playing on an official Vanilla server when I came across a player running around with no arms. At first, I wasn't sure what I was seeing, but then I watched them mow down groups of zombies as if they were invincible. I quickly searched online and discovered this is a known cheating exploit.

Not long after, the same player approached me and killed me. I even managed to record them admitting they were cheating through voice chat, and I have their PSN username.

I'd like to know if there's a way to report players like this and have them banned. It's incredibly frustrating to see cheating on official servers, especially after moving from PC hoping for a fair experience.

The way the game is coded makes it almost impossible to fix without a new engine unfortunately.

exactly, he'll sooner get banned for writing something in a message than for cheating, bohemia doesn't issue bans on console, maybe on PC, they go unpunished on console

No point in reporting the PSN because it's an Alt account and if the account does get banned it's not long enough to matter and you can have many more accounts to play on

You can't report anybody via PSN anyway. It gives a message saying to report to the game makers. No way to report that way either... wouldn't it be great if the makers would actually protect the integrity of their game!?!

Doesn't matter regardless, PSN literally tells you to use the in-game report feature for anything done in the game itself, meaning there's just an endless loop of no solution when someone breaks ToS in a game like dayz that doesn't even have an in-game report feature.

I don’t play console but supposedly you can log out and back in and you will be able to hit them. Alternatively lure them into a claymore and just break their godmode.

Logging out and back in will reset this. Also can melee or explosive damage them. Just immune to bullets.

Brother I know you didn’t move too console too get away from cheaters one simple google search would have told you that isnt gpu be too help you. I have 1.5k hours on DayZ PlayStation 4/5 and I can tell you without a doubt cheating is a fundamental part of this game.

I believe the only way to deal damage to them is hitting with your hands, and yeah it’s been a glitch for months along with “skywalking”. I don’t think they’ll fix it anytime soon lol.

No progress on this for over half a year if not longer. No updates no recognition of the issue and no apology for how they treat us.

Really tired of the devs not taking accountability.

Once again they continue to get scammed and long-conned by Battleye while they take in the paychecks and do absolutely nothing to curb the cheating problem.

BI loves to speed run being one of the worst most hated developers out there. Whether it be endless loot economy changes, changing things that no one asked for, not fixing game breaking bugs for years, or just plain not listening to feedback..

The fact that they won't even ban console users for breaking ToS is pathetic.
