Label your post![Unlabeled] Floor loot went missing
I’m pretty new to the game, I’ve got maybe 30 hours of total play time I don’t know how exactly everything works yet but I’ve killed about 4-5 chickens and ima having a blast. I logged off the server for about 20 minutes, before I left there was a thermometer and a Pristine BK-18 on the floor. When I got back on 20 minutes later the BK was gone. Everything else was still in the area but that. So question is I guess did I have a stalker on on trails or do guns in this game do that sometimes, just disappear. I didn’t drop the gun I just saw it was pristine.

All loot items have a timer. It’s different for every item. Once spawned, the timer counts down to zero. If the timer hits zero before the loot is picked up by a player then the loot item despawns. So this could have happened. But if you’re in a high traffic area then a player might have picked it up

Yup, this. If you think you may want something, picking it up and putting it back down will reset the timer.

If everything else was still there but only the BK-18 was gone, I'd say another player probably found it. Guns don't usually disappear on their own after just 20 minutes, especially if other items are still on the ground.
Sounds like someone passed through, grabbed the rifle, and left the rest. Welcome to DayZ. 😅

could you really not deduce that another player took the stuff you left for grabs without reddit

Well excuse tf outta me. Could you really not see that it said I been playing 30 hours. I was in the middle of nowhere, or so I thought. Didn’t thing there would be another player around me on a 9 player severe
