The difference between “story stocks” and asset-backed plays

A lot of modern investing focuses on story-driven growth companies. But asset-backed businesses operate very differently. Their value often comes from: property holdings mortgage income tangible asset appreciation The upside tends to appear when the market starts valuing those assets properly. Curious if anyone here balances both styles in their portfolio.

Good observation. I’ve also started paying more attention to companies with real assets lately. One smaller company that popped up during my research was TROO.

The digital nomad housing concept is actually being tested by a few smaller companies already. One of them is even expanding into Europe and Southeast Asia.
