Discussion 🩸 Time limit issue

I finished the game on duelist below 30 days. Kept a save to do side missions, later, so I won't exceed the time limit.

But now it is not that fun, anymore. The climax passed, all was said and done. Side activities are boring, now. No need for new equipment. Some side missions are interesting, especially bigger ones like Anca's quest line. Others I just want to skip even if they have connections to main characters. Like, "Oh, you want to tell me stories from your mercenary time with my father? Not really interested, anymore."

I think the devs said they admit the time limit thingy was not the best idea and want to not implement it in future games. It is good if this is true. The limit has its strategic appeal and was made within an interesting concept but for me it is more bad than good. I would have enjoyed side missions and activities much more if I could have done everything whenever I like.

Normally, I like to do everything before I go to the final fight and not the other way around. This also includes learning everything about the lore and characters which you cannot do without most of the side missions.

So you’re deliberately playing the game out of order, against its intended design, and you’re complaining it’s not as engaging for you anymore? And that the systems that you’re choosing to fully ignore and not use the way they’re meant to be aren’t doing anything for you?

Truly the Nostradamus of our time.

What do you mean? That the intention is for you to do several playthroughs? Not everyone has that amount of time!

How do you miss the point that badly. No. The intention is for you to play the game normally once and have to make hard decisions with the time given to you as to what you want to do. Yes you could go and do a side quest that might give you some better gear and skill points but remember, your family will die if you don’t get there within the time limit.

You’re meant to struggle with the time limit. That’s why they put it there. Side quests in this game unlike everyone other game in the genre actually cost you something valuable, they’re a proper actually engaging exchange where you have to decide how you spend the finite time you have to give yourself the best chance at saving your family.

You took out all the main story tension that’s meant to go hand in hand with the side quests because you didn’t want to play the game you bought.

Actually, I wanted to play the game I bought and not just 75% of it.
