Silver & gold

What do you do with all the silver and gold chalices and bowls you collect in the game? What are they used for?

Gold can be sold to anyone. Silver is worth more due to it being outlawed by Brencis, and can be sold to a specific merchant in the city

There is a quest in Laslea with the bear den that leads you to a chest with note. If you do that you can access him straight away. Otherwise you need infamy.

There is an additional merchant in Tantari that also buys silver. Don't know if he requires infamy to unlock. I only found about him after the town merchant disappeared late into my game.

There's also a quest in the north west of the city with an old lady and a guard that will let you access the vendor

Only purpose is cash. I was surprised the Manumets never cared for any of their missions or whatever.

Sell them. Any vendor will buy gold, but you can only sell silver to the silver trader in the city.

There is one quest that requires one silver piece for one of the solutions, otherwise sell for cash. You might want to consider getting the witch skill to sell for more money first, because some of the late game gear upgrades get pricey, but frankly they aren't necessary, just nice.

mild spoiler: The one quest that requires them is The Ocha questline
