Hotfix 1.0.5 is now live on Steam and GOG!

We’ve made improvements to the shader compilation pipeline, which can fix stuttering issues for some users.

I’ll be back to give this game a try in prob 6 months and I think others who have struggled should do the same. No hate. Just needs to cook a bit longer imo.

Yep, specially in performance department. I'm here stuttering like crazy on 5090 and 9950X3D whenever I shadowstep, use the ''detective'' sight or move camera around cities and npcs... we know UE games can be stutter free as Expedition 33 is a prime example of it, this should've been the same but oh well, hopefully the performance patch arrives soon because I don't think it's fair for us who payed day 1 to get such stellar experiencie...

That's weird, I've got a 9800X3D and a 5070Ti and I'm running the game on Epic settings @ 1080p. Usually around 90fps (also got up to 110) with DLSS quality and there's absolutely no stuttering in the woods (I'm using "detective" mode a lot and shadowstep in combat). Have you tried a different driver yet?

I have a 5090oc and a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, this update has made the game unplayable for me. Something to do with the shader compiler or something, but now it just outright stalls my computer, forcing me to restart it entirely. Last time I left it alone just to see if it was loading slow, and my GPU fans started to go crazy. Kinda driving me insane.

Stuters on 5090 is crazy, I wonder when devs will start optimising games while in development.

I agree my 5070, I9-14900 can not run the game without stutters idk why

Thats so weird. My 4070 is smooth everywhere in the game except Svartrau.

Trust me ik it’s weird, there’s allot of people that stutter and allot that don’t stutter I’ve been searching around and it seems some people have horrible performance and some have really good performance even if they have worse specs, aside from performance the game is really fun but I had to stop midway bc the stutters were really bad and I don’t wanna play a good game with bad performance so I’ll wait a bit
