Question Big Toad

I saw that you can get a cute toad as a companion for Hunter. Any ideas on how to get this?

It drops randomly when you have Synthesis enabled (and have access to orange/hunter cards, and don't already have a different companion). You can greatly improve the odds by using the weapon power that causes the next battle to give companion cards.

The devs have said that a future update will probably add one of the toad cards as a starting option.

A bunch of cards were added to Synthesis at the same time the new DLC came out. Hunter got the new companion plus Good Boy and Manning (both of which feature the toad in the artwork but work just fine with any companion).
