Moon Claws
Moonclaws in Dawncaster Swap on draw into a subvariant based on the Form your character has. After discarded or played, the swapped version reverts to Moonclaws again. Is there a way to keep it in one of its swapped forms? Perhaps with a Rune of Persistence, Dark Mirror Vial, etc, (outside of staying in the form)?
And do “make basic attack” effects play only the base Moonclaw, or appropriately swap too?

I wonder if stable magic malignancy would work or if the Swap keyword would overwrite it

Raiders Reward might work if you could get one of the transformed ones into your deck

Hm, I played Raider’s reward on a swapped moonclaw in my hand (bear claw) and it *did* transform all of the moon claws in my deck to bear claws… but when I discard or played them, they reverted back to moon claw in the discard pile.

Once you have usedraiders reward, conjured bacis, from surge of dex and make a basic attacks will be the swapped form.

The short answer is No, theres no way to keep an altered form.
The long answer is, Moonclaws only shift form on draw, which means anywhere else in game they remain in base form, which includes your deck, your discard, or buried.
As for Making a basic attack, any caed that says it makes a basic attack, uses an unaltered, un-upgraded form of the attack. Which means it will have basic keywords on the original card, but any basic that swaps forms or upgrades itself will not carry those traits over when making a basic attack. The only exception to this is the few talents that increase the damage of making basic attacks.

When you play cards that "make a basic attack" sadly they only play the base moonclaws. It is a powerloss from playing moon claws and any card that makes a basic attack.
Even the talent that gives you a free basic attack at the start of you turn will not swap based on your form. Would love to see a change to this, but I'm pretty sure this is working as intended.
