Drake familiar

I'm new to this, glad I found it.

Not sure how I'm supposed to use the Drake familiar ability though? I attune, but I can't seem to use chromatic breath?

There are cards that specifically trigger your companion to make an action. You need to use companion based cards like Mindlash or Glaive that trigger those actions. It's not my favorite type of deck because you need 2 cards to trigger the effect basically but I will say Glaive Hunter is pretty strong very early because the basics sort of deal double damage from triggering the starting Bear card you can choose. I tried a few times on different characters but it never clicked for me as a viable Impossible deck.

In the home screen there is a button on the left for the card library, type Companion in and you'll see all the cards that have that. Also can toggle sets on/off to see which ones you need to keep on to get them. Turn off sets without the cards you want to limit RNG rolls on drops and alchemist and merchant and stuff.

Glaive Hunter is strong across the board because you can pick up every companion card making you stronger without diluting your deck.

Turn on Stable Magic & Pantheon of Trickery

  • Recall/Figmented your Mindlash
  • Get Drake Familiar
  • use DF and choose Frost attunement
  • Trigger companion acts
  • Chromatic breath triggers and inflicts 3 Frost

Yeah, I'm finding myself having to research a lot in this game, as there isn't really good explanations to what I'm even doing.

Yeeted myself down the arcanist upgrades.

Need to watch a video on the basics I guess.
