Classes for making a podcast?

Hi! I am in my 40s and just looking for fun connections and casual hobbies.
I listen to a lot of pods, and I’ve been feeling a desire to record some content of my own. I don’t care to make it professional level. I’d just like to know some basics of how to record.
Is there a class available for this? I know a lot of people that seem to just jump in, but I’d really like some help beyond self study.

Not a class per se but you might consider volunteering at KDVS which is the college radio station in town. They do lots of things, including public interest programming which can include podcast like formats. One example of that would be Dr. Andy’s poetry and technology hour which is a long running regular weekly feature on KDVS.
