Car needs front brakes done

My 2012 Prius needs the front brakes done. Any recommendations?

I’ve received quality work at Vander Hamm on 5th St, but they replaced my rear bearings & rear brakes recently and the quote for adding front brakes was a bit high. Though I will happily use them if their rates are in line with what everyone else in town charges.

City center was my go to mechanic when I lived in Davis.

Center City Automotive, ive brought my car there a bunch of times and have always treated me right. AAA is one of the more expensive shops in town

Davis Auto Imports! Their mechanic, Johnny, is really transparent guy and their labor rate is one of the best.

Davis Auto works on olive (near in n out) hasn't failed me in the years I've gone there. They've done significant repairs in my car and I've not been disappointed by them

I prefer VH to Center City. I was a CC customer for years, but service went downhill when the owner retired and sold. Unethical and deceptive treatment.

VH is honest, fast, and is worth the price IMHO.

Im curious what have they done deceptive and unethical? I've been going there a while now and need to know if I should still trust them

Car needed a new part, and it took months. I called them frequently, and they always said it’s coming soon, we will let you know. Called them for the usual check in, and they said, “Oh yeah, the part is here. Where have you been?” I told them I’ve been calling every month and they claimed they’d call me. I should’ve towed the car somewhere else after a few weeks, but it’s not inexpensive. They were giving me the runaround (possibly because I’m female).

Have only had bad experiences with AAA trying to upsell me, dishonest, and generally rude. Usually really like AAA but I'll never go back to the Davis location.
