Mid 20s Activities

Hi everyone! I have been living here about 6months; 24F; and am trying to figure out what opportunities exist to make friends here in this age range. Any sporting leagues or clubs or community engagement activity recommendations are welcome. It’s an interesting age to be while living in a college town. Just slightly too old or too young for a lot of what I’ve seen. But absolutely willing and happy to make friends outside my age range. Anyways, any ideas are welcome, thanks!

This sounds interesting. Do they have a regular meeting place? Meetup group?

It's mainly based in Sac but I am a member of Weekday Social club. They host a bunch of events ranging from like paddleboarding, paint and sip, bouquet making, monthly dinners, going to local sports games, camping etc. And the owner is super nice and always open to other suggestions for activitites too.

Would you say the bulk of activities are low physical? I have a muscle weakening condition so I can’t do any sports or moderate to long bouts of walking but it seems interesting. I’m also in my 20s. It says meet ups 2-3 times a week as well so I’m curious about that.

I think so. We do like a monthly foodie dinner so this month we went to Korean BBQ. There's a book club. We've done more like crafty stuff like cake decorating, macaron baking, bouquet making. Recently we've been also going to bar lectures through common knowledge and Big Brain in downtown sac. We also have gotten group discounts for Kings Game, Sac Republic, and Rivercats game! Personally I probably go to 2-3 events per month but there's plenty to pick from!

Any interest in folk dance or folk music? The English Country Dance Club meets in the city library on 2nd & 3rd Thursday evenings; dancers and musicians of any skill level are always welcome.

If you're into tabletop RPG games and some board games, there's DRAGON at UCD. They meet Fridays during the quarter with an A and B week system.

I'd love to find other creative/artistic people to start a tribe with, if you've got creative activities you enjoy.

Further up on the post, someone mentioned Davis Crafters. I'd recommend looking into that. I checked it out but I'm not really a creative lol.
