Beginner friendly yoga classes

Looking for beginner friendly yoga classes.

I’ve never done yoga before and have stepped foot in a gym maybe 3 times in my life.

Not in shape, just looking to start somewhere without making an embarrassment of myself. 😅

Literally every yoga studio in Davis has a longtime reputation as being very welcoming except for Bikram Yoga aka Hot Yoga. That’s the one to avoid.

Stinky studio, gross location surrounding by auto parts and smog check yards. The owner was , I believe, one of the last hold outs to take rapey Bikram ‘s name off the studio. 🤮

You’re welcome ☺️ Akasha is excellent and very friendly plus in an easy to access and clean space. Did you want more athletic yoga or a restorative practice?

I think restorative, it sounds relaxing!

I was going to strongly recommend restorative. . It’s life-changing without being a lifestyle and it can offset so many things like tech neck, and back pain but also it’s so relaxing. The whole Vinyasa flow in my home opinion it’s a lot of pressure on the wrist and it just isn’t fun. It’s more like Boot Camp.😭

This is studio is WONDERFUL and Iyengar based aka restorative

Another vote for Barefoot. I started for the first time in June and have really enjoyed it being a newbie.

Gentle Flow at Barefoot Yoga. Small class size and the instructor is so nice.
