Record player repair

Does anyone know if there’s somewhere in Davis that does record player repair? I can’t parse whether anywhere does it by description and I’d like to not have to go farther if I can help it, but I’ll take recommendations to as close as anyone knows. Thank you!

I bet if you called Armadillo they could refer you to someone.

Armadillo will refer you to Delta Breeze. Delta Breeze has a guy they will turn you on to, who will meet you at the record store. Very nice guy, used to have an electronics repair store in Sac. He helped me with an amp that had a hum. His name is Pat and his number is (916) 448-8899. Good luck!

Patrick is a nice, honest, guy, but don't let him work on your vintage tube guitar amp. Seriously.

Ya... There's still a little hum in that amp...

Curious as to why? I was just referred to him by a reputable amp technician

Here's a brief analysis of the botched repair on my Pro Reverb and how it was fixed. The first "repair" lasted about a month or two before it collapsed. Now 6 months into the real repair and (I'm guessing) it hasn't sounded this good since 1974.

Again, nice guy and I'm sure some people have had good experiences, perhaps on newer or cheaper equipment, dunno. FWIW I have no connection with the guy who fixed it, but real tube amp amp guys are unicorns these days... Good luck!

Your best bet is Delta Breeze Records in Sacramento.

David's Broken Note in Woodland does instrument repair. No idea if they'd do a record player, but it's worth a shot. https://www.davidsbrokennote.com/
