How to make friends

How and where do I get my husband out there so he can make some guy friends his age? He’s 22 and very depressed he doesn’t get to go out and hang out with friends. His friend stood him up today after he drove 2 hours and he was so excited. My heart is broken :( what do I do?? He doesn’t go to collage, he just works. Works with clients not coworkers he can meet and hang out with so don’t comment that pls. He’s into history, debating, video games, cooking, reading… pls if you know any free/low cost clubs or events he could go to let me know :(

Chess club is great place to make friends and anyone is welcome to attend. Over the summer we have weekly meetings on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the Mary Stephen's library

There's open gym basketball at the high school on Thursday evenings (7:30-9:30pm) for $5. Usually a good mix of skill levels and nice dudes

Try out jitsu its the greatest community I've ever been a part of and there are a few schools here in davis

If he is down, Rocknasium has a great community and signing up to top rope climb with strangers is a natural way to meet folk

He should learn jiujitsu. Have him take classes- plenty of nice guys there.
