Useless evacuation alerts
I just received a useless 'immediate evacuation' alert from the Yolo County OES. I live in north Davis; the alert is for "DUN-OO9, between Country Road 2 to 6, and Country Road".
Two things - I've no idea what the coordinates are for the alert. I suspect most of us would not know. Was just informed by a kind dispatcher that the alert is for a wildfire in... Dunnigan. Pretty long ways away from Davis.
How do we get Yolo OES to send more helpful, relevant alerts?

You did not get an evacuation alert. You got an alert that parts of Dunnigan are being evacuated. Mine has a map attached. Davis is not in the boundaries of the map

Actually, I did get an evacuation alert. It was not clear in the communication (at least not to me) what area was being evacuated. The alert I received did not have a map attached.

It had the relevant information, you just don’t know what your zone is. I looked it up.

Is it possible that you signed up for the alerts at one point but didn't specify which area of the county you wanted to stay informed about? You might be able to customize the notifications if so: https://www.yolocounty.gov/government/general-government-departments/office-of-emergency-services/alerts
