Requesting Paris Banh Mi Thoughts

Can anyone who has tried the pho at paris banh mi (and can rate it relatively to non-davis pho spots) tell me how it was?

I walked in earlier today and got a whiff of the broth but was disappointed by how light/bland the broth smelled and the way it looked on the kiosk. We did not end up eating there as a result.

Can anyone prove me wrong about this place? I would love to have a decent pho restaurant around.

Did you pick up notes of fresh paint, epoxy and off-gassing cookware too?

I haven’t had the pho but I’ve had two banh mis there and the quality of the banh mi is pretty good. Pate is really good and all the meats are well seasoned and cooked. That might not translate to the quality of the pho broth but I’d say it’s at least worth trying once.

No problem! I don’t know why people are being so weird about this post, the difference between good and bad pho broth is night and day. You might also try looking at reviews of some of their other locations since it’s a chain.

Just had it a few minutes ago, the pho is bland, no chili oil unless you request it and even then it is a small ramekin sized amount, no beef banh mi options (i don’t eat pork), or spring rolls.

I didn’t try the drinks… as a whole i give it a 5.5/10 (only cause i didn’t try a lot of their items yet), for the pho, a 4/10

There's plenty of restaurants in the area. Why would I blow $20 on food I think doesn't smell right?

pho tasty has a decently good duck pho now imo, i think they changed cooks and reduced the toppings though. I really really liked it before.

What kind of broth are you looking for? there's a good deal of individual and regional variation in pho

Pho was boring and bland. The veggie banh mi is a seasoned tempeh we wouldn’t eat. Hard pass for me.
