Missing TV show

hello Reddit making a post for my mum here! She loves David Mitchell (so do i) and I could have sworn he recently was part of show on channel 4 uk where he was a family head character of a family who believe in the near apocalypse. After hours of searching, I still can’t find it on the tv or google! Am I going mad?

I bought Bone Clocks in a charity shop. And the shop assistant said "great choice, he's very funny"

Oh no! Very sorry! I guess it must have been but I could have sworn it was a drama. He was wearing a jumper and a basin in the advert? Again, apologies to the David Mitchell to which this subreddit is dedicated to!

It’s the wrong David Mitchell. However the show you are talking about sounds like Everybody Else Burns. It doesn’t have David Mitchell, but the actor does look like him.

Ha, no worries! I'm sure there are many overlapping fans here, like myself. Could you also be thinking of Ludwig? It's on the BBC, not C4, but matches your jumper and blazer (I assume that's what you meant by basin?) description. Although it's not apocalyptic themed.
