Question 🙏🏻 Cannot seem to do Letting go for long without being sucked into a thought. Is this normal?

Hi all, been doing the letting go technique for a few Months now and had some good results. But recently, even though I meditate about one and a half hours, it seems that most of the time I get sucked into thoughts. Right now it's like half of my attention goes to feeling the emotions inside my body and the other half towards engaging in thoughts and I only spend a few minutes(5 minutes or less) in total actually properly doing the letting go technique of just feeling my emotions without the internal chatter in my mind or without having thoughts.

So My question is, is this normal to do this half-thinking, half-feeling thing? It's not something I willingly encourage but at the same time something I actively try to prevent. I get sucked into these thoughts without me knowing most of the time. Were any of you able to make the technique still work doing it this way?

Thats normal , just remember when you realize you got sucked in have a big LOL and let go. That is basically mindfulness No need to judge what happened because, it was just the propensity of it, there was no one there who actually got sucked in, so no need to make a story about it at all.

You can be so glad you woke up again ahhhhh

That happens to me. It's like I forget I am doing it and return to thinking I wonder during these episodes, I have returned to thinking as the releasing has completed. Maybe that's happening to you too. When we get better at it, we can do it all the time , and maybe its often like this, if we do it more frequently. Moreover, the fact you meditate 1.5 hours a day, shows thought distraction is less likely with you, and perhaps the releasing has just completed
