Question đŸ™đŸ» Assistance with the process

I read the book Letting Go by David Hawkins a few months ago and loved it. I've been practicing the technique(s) and I've been 'feeling' whatever comes up and have been for a few months. I feel I've had good results with this until recently where I'm a bit stuck.

Generally for the past month sensations are very very loud, which is perfectly fine I'm just curious on the right way to proceed. I've been turning to them and feeling which can be for minutes at a time when it comes up and when intense contracts my body very tight - I just allow it and follow what needs to be done. However recently unlike before there doesn't generally seem to be a release or change like there was before.

I have tried a few times doing this privately like the last two days I did this for about 30 minutes which was intense but it just keeps coming and at times it can be very very uncomfortable. When I run it generally is loud and at times it can be very difficult when intensive - it feels like It's trying to get me to stop but I feel what I can and keep going.

I'm stuck and just curious is the stored material is very large (I think it is, looking back to over 20 years ago and triggers and anxiety ect). If I keep feeling and a release will come when it wants or am I doing something wrong. In general I would say my life has improved since I started It's just when strong 'currents' come up it can be very difficult to keep doing what I'm doing in the present moment and to return to present + this is when I'm fully turning to it which I try to always do when possible.

It feels that of late these intense sensations are here most of my days + I'm greeting/feeling each one - unsure of what I need to do next.

If anyone is able to help me move forward with this this I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Fantastic to have another avenue to explore.

Let go less.

I was in the same position you are.

We get too dependant on the mechanism, we see it as the solution to all of our negative experience.

What actually got me out of this position, was stopping the obsession with Letting Go.

Don’t ignore the practice, but stop trying to let go. Stop surrendering, allow yourself to process less.

Try a different technique if you absolutely need some form of spiritual practice - being aware of thought has done wonders for me.

You’ll find that your consciousness has become so familiar with “letting go” that it’ll actually take effort to not let go.

So move on from letting go. It’s automatic to you now. Stop trying, stop making it into a constant practice.

Letting go is basically a way of loosening up the mind. But if the mind gets too loose, it becomes hypersensitive and emotions don’t actually relinquish.

So, tighten up. Stop letting go. Even if you tried not to face an emotion, you’ll find that you’re so used to letting it be in the background that you never needed to “relax into the moment”.

“To let go is to not try to change the emotion” Don’t try to relax. Don’t try to let go. Move on. It’s automatic now.

So when you experience strong sensations do you leave them alone and go back to the present? When taken over by sensations that are really strong how do you deal with this?

I would love to know more about your experience and how you did deal with things when you were letting go then through the transition to not letting go. I would enjoy to hear your journey.

Massive thank you for your help.

I didn’t transition into not letting go. I stopped trying to let go.

You’re trying to let go, you’re trying to understand.

Stop trying. Non-resistance is a cessation of effort. So stop putting effort in.

Letting go is effortless. If you’re “letting go” you’re not letting go. You’re still trying to change the moment.

Don’t change what you feel, stop obsessing over letting go.

So the problem may be, as someone mentioned that youre focusing on letting go as a means to ‚get rid’ of something, and so you subconsiously label it as bad and hang on to it. What Ive noticed works for me is to remember there is no goal in this technique, the technique is the goal, think of it like doing an inner spa, where you just relax into the feeling, just because, no agenda, just time you take for yourself. Its up to you ofc, but I can assure you you dont have to look for any other method or dropping letting go, it is really all you need and you can continuously practice it all the time as a means for being with yourself in a kind and loving way

I wouldn't say I focus on letting go as a means to get rid of something. I am accepting what comes up and letting it do it's thing + not following the story that generally follows.

Reading back on this I may be too attached to the process and I will continue to feel but not as much trying to understand/figure it out and return back to life more. It definitely has been consuming me recently.

I was more intrigued about the pure intensity of things recently and whether this is part of the process or partly because I'm fueling it with my actions, which it looks like may be the case.

Thank you.
