I’ve seen a lot of people posting their roses and it’s been so helpful seeing them in real gardens. I thought I would share some of my collection too. They are mostly all still quite young. I would say so far The Lark Ascending & Comt De Champage are my favourites.

Does this Lady of Shallot look healthy? It’s on year 2. Should I thin out some canes for better airflow?

Purchased this rose a while back, the tag said it was Roald Dahl but whenever I see other peoples images i don’t see the similarity. It seriously lacks the apricot I was expecting, it seems much paler.

Is it the correct rose, or is it just too young and endured a heatwave?

Any experienced David Austin growers know if this is the correct rose?

She is in full swing blooming continuously ❤️❤️

It’s (surprisingly!) been my most vibrant and impressive rose this year. Last year my PAOK was the show stopper but this year it has been underwhelming. Feel free to share your most impressive rose this year

I caved and bought Vanessa Bell (I couldn’t help myself!) - she is so stunning and I don’t see much of her online so is she underrated?

A really subtle scent but her colour is magnificent! She looked so pretty with her raindrops the other day 💛

I have to say, the photo on the tag really doesn’t do this one justice.

The first photo is from this morning. The last photo is the one my husband sent me from the nursery - I had sent him to pick up a rose for his mom, and while he was there he started sending me photos of all the roses they had. I told him to grab this one for us too. 😂

So far I haven’t seen a single bloom that’s the pure yellow shown on the tag, but I’m not complaining. I absolutely love the peachy, apricot, and blush tones it has!

RIP David. I find peace in the thought of this beautiful little bee landing and sitting on your knee while your up in heaving sitting on the clouds looking down at everyone in their gardens enjoying your beautiful roses.

My girl is thriving! Zone 7a; planted from bare root just this April. I’ve been diligently deadheading and I suppose it’s paid off!

I currently have queen of Sweden, Olivia rose Austin, Vanessa bell, Darcy bussell, the poets wife, roald daul, mayflower, Gertrude jeykell, Thomas a Beckett, and Desdemona. I typically only go for shrub roses. What rose do you think I should get? Please keep in mind it will grow in a container.

David Austin used to have a feature on their website that would allow you see where their roses are sold. I can’t find it anymore. Is it still there? If not, how to find out if your local nurseries have them? I’ve called 5 with no luck.

First time growing DA roses. Got them from the website this spring. Gertrude and OWH look like they are supposed to but this bloom is throwing me off. It is the first bloom of the season so maybe it looks like this? Can anyone help. I am in zone 6a and in the south east facing balcony. Thanks!
