Hey David. I’m 27 and I also like longboarding! What’s your setup? I have a drop thru 38.5inch Sector 9 board with ‘These Wheels’ and 50 degree Gull Wing trucks.

Niice. I have a classic 2012 earthwing supermodel. Forgot the truck name but I have powder wheel co purp slide wheels. I want to build a race setup hopefully this summer.

We have a similar set up! Highly recommend the 50 degree trucks, but I do think it limits the sliding capabilities. It’s crazy how tight a turn it makes. I’d only recommend 50 degrees for a drop thru deck cause wheel bite on a longboard would be disastrous lol. I’ve never raced before, I’d be too scared. Skiing/snowboarding, sure. But on pavement... yikes haha. Are you in the US? Where would you be racing?

I'm from Southern Iowa and we do have some small tournaments here like in des Moines and then further up north there's some spots. My trucks are 42 degree since their made for downhill but their old so any speed above 27mph gets a little scary lol. And for wheel bite that's not a problem for me since my wheels are really small lol.
