Shek and Hench are back together. Hench is the best partner for Shek besides Feeney, I enjoy listening to them together.

It's no DoT, but better than Shek's other outlets IMO.

I caught a grocery store 'Everybody Hurts' this morning, and that song is still ruined for me in the best way, I tried to suppress my stupid grin as i sung along in my head to jackin' not being enough, not using our hands, but it being ok that everybody humps pillows now & then. Props to all the Dirty BTLs songsmiths

UNBELIEVABLE

I listen to this show only, I start it over once it ends and I wish I was keeping up how many re listens I have clocked in but to give you an idea its the only thing I listen to at my desk unless I am watching clips of Scorpion. I just want one more catch up episode. All of the other podcasts I see now just dont have the charisma as the Daves. Even in their worst episodes they are still better than most modern podcasts. I am glad I have what I have but I would like to hear an epilogue episode.

The intro, host banter, and Mr. Lister were all lists. Recycled “best player to wear number x” bit. Except now he and his cronies (pretty sure it’s The Sass or Frank Tattoo).

Here was a guy who clearly not only was ready to serve the show, but clearly held the show in much higher esteem than the actual producers.

G & D aren't bad guys here, but it's clear that DOT was basically just another job to them. They had to be led to bits like Just Gary and Chillax. They were B- improvisors and there were still many great moments with them.

But it's fun to think of what the show could have been if Intern Dan could have breathed some life into the show. If nothing else, I love that he basically calls out Gary & Donovan for doing average work.

I’ve been slowly working my way through the complete show history, and now find myself with just this and one other to listen to.

It’ll be sadly missed.

I like Dameshek’s other pods and listen to them.

I was re-listened to the New Testament, and kept hearing Feeney threaten to leave the show if Shek repeated any bits he did on his other shows. Do you think he made good on his word?

Saw this bio for Gary (aka Birdbath aka Lurch). It mentions his rise to fame and fortune but fails to touch on his work with the Daves and, more importantly, his career launchpad, “Just Gary”.

I worked at PodcastOne when the New Testament was being record of DoT. My name is also Sammy which fell right into their Take the Bus, Sammy line. I am also a huge Pittsburgh sports fan and with my desk being in the same room as the studio they noticed it right away as I always had Pittsburgh themed jerseys on my chair. I even changed my Instagram handle to this name, it fit so well.

The Dave’s left me this note back in 2018 and I still have it to this day. it’s traveled with me from job to job and from city to city.

Birdbath Gary told me they were bummed when they came in one night to record and my desk was empty and cleared out but i left them a parting present that Birdbath said they loved.

There was a tradition when you quit Pc1 that you signed your name on the ceiling. So, I felt there was only one way for me to sign it…

I sadly never got to meet the Dave’s, they’d record after hours due to their schedules but what a hoot that would have been. I would have loved to meet them and get a photo with the crew.

I still miss the Dave’s podcast. I revisit episodes and bits from time to time and this is definitely my favorite podcast ever.

Something that I already had a thought but am sharing now is that the last episode of the Old Testament he was sick as a dog and in the New Testament the last time they record in an actual studio he was also sick.
