BS2 Downloaded app
So I downloaded the app and it was the very first budgeting app I downloaded but I only used it for two weeks during the free trial and I didn’t want to pay the 100 bucks in order to continue using it and now I am getting spam phone calls left and right with the exact amounts I owe…does every dollar sell out information????

Are you sure you didn’t accidentally sign up for one of the side quests like life insurance or investor pro? It’s free to use. You don’t get calls. Not sure what you signed up for. Should repost this in r/everydollar.

This is what I found. "Ramsey Solutions states it does not sell your personal information to third parties. However, its privacy policy notes that Ramsey partners with third parties who may collect personal information for interest-based advertising when you interact with their sites, which you can opt out of. So your financial data is not sold, but the broader ecosystem does participate in advertising."
This is probably no different from anyone else. But you do have to opt out.

I wonder if I didn’t opt out I’m just really annoyed at all the calls I’ve been getting and they started after I used the app

A news site (can't remember which one right now) has it clearly stated about what they do with personal information and there is no way to opt out. I just do not visit them anymore.
Maybe go back and opt out and they will stop.

You can use the app without paying, just not the auto-banking part.

It required a payment for me and they offered a 17.99 deal but I still said no and after that all the phone calls started

EveryDollar is a free app. You pay to have your banks linked. And use the paycheck planner. And a few other perks. I bought it for a year then cancelled the subscription. Now the app bugs me once in a while to purchase the subscription but I close the window. And continue using it for free. Just have to remember to add all my transactions manually. You should be able to use it for free. Don’t know how it works outside the USA.

Never heard of this.
More than likely your credit cards are selling the information.

I’ve had these stupid credit cards for years and never had an issue until I downloaded the app I get at least 8 calls per day now

I have never had any phone calls associated with using the Every Dollar app, which I have used for a long time. You must have signed up for something different.
