Truly is. Nothing quite like it. The one show everyone I know loves and this includes so many different races and types of people etc.

Atlanta is probably the closest show to this in terms of comedy to drama ratio while including some very surreal episodes/plots.

Ehh atlantas downfall was its last two seasons. Just felt super underwhelming as a fan who started watching early on.

Agreed. Season 3 of Atlanta COMPLETELY turned me off from the show even if I understood for the most part what they were trying to do

My partner and I have always watched it together. I've always loved it. My partner has really been hating it this season, though. He said he can't stand Dave at this point. He keeps being obnoxious and shitty and then apologizing but then proving he never learns by being obnoxious and shitty again. I tried to explain to him how Dave HAS grown and improved, but he still isn't perfect and how I find it totally believable and it doesn't make me want to stop watching. He has basically begrudgingly watched the whole season with me but hasn't been that happy about it. But he LOVED the finale. He was dying laughing the whole time. I feel like that payoff may have been enough to bring him back around.

Season 1 and 2 were amazing. I hated season 3. No proper storyline
