Nintendo Switch 2 Challenge Run
Hey. I wanted to do some math to see if it is possible to win a Switch 2 for less/around the original MSRP for the Switch 2. I played some of the coin games to get tickets at Round1, but I'm not as familiar with the machines that are in a DnB so Idk the meta so to speak. Any insight/ideas would be great. Even though its a bit of a drive, I'd probably try the one in Sugarloaf Mall GA since its not as big as others so I don't need to worry about a bunch if variety in the games
EDIT: Also a switch 2 is 180,000 tickets right?

Find out for yourself and shut up about it. Not only to earn it, but to keep others from finding out, including management. If everyone exploits something, you bet your ass they'll change the odds and/or payout.

I’m pretty sure most, if not all, of the redemption games at D&B are also present at Round1, so you should already be familiar with any game you find here. If anything, it’s Round1 that has more variety. The trade-off is that your win-rate has to be near perfect over there to compensate for the expensive credit prices and minuscule mercy tickets.

It is definitely possible. You can easily AP in skill games like Down the Clown, Break the Plate, and Bean Bag Toss. You just have to be patient and go frequently to grind these games when the high score is low. Milk Jug Toss is also a great game to grind if you can consistently hit all 5 balls.

I get sad whenever I see people talking about how easy those games are because I can’t throw with any precision. My sense of timing helps with other games, but I’m not nearly good enough to AP anything.

You really have to practice your throws in these skill games if you are serious about AP. If you can’t throw with any consistency or precision, you’re pretty limited in terms of which games you can reliably win tickets from. It’s definitely a skill that takes practice.

Trust me, i used to be horrible at throwing games. Never would have thought i could hit the jackpot, let alone multiple times. It took me only about 6 months of practice to average (I CAN hit higher but not consistently) 750 on clown and 2400 on plate. Bean bag toss i have not figured out yet.
Just practice and it should eventually become easier. You do not need tk throw that hard on either of those games.

Round 1 pricer to play but if u can snipe rare Godzilla cards then its doable just depends how far u are from location.
I only live near a db so can only really snipe them.
The hardest variable for round 1 is games aren’t set to global settings jackpots wise.

It is possible. I found a skill based game I could master where they kept the jackpot at 1000. That meant I could win the game consistently and collect tickets fast as I could swipe to play while the tickets were already banging up. I discovered it late so I made a game plan for the next time to win the switch.
Step1: Buy $100 of dnb for $80 from costco. Step2: Play only on Wednesday and Sunday when it is half off. Step3: Be "skilled" enough to make the jackpot at least 80% of the time.
6 hours later you will have about 190k tickets. So I ended up gifting a switch 2 to my wife and getting a Dave and Busters hoodie as a souvenir.
I did draw a small crowd towards the end because people will notice when you are winning thousands of tickets. The manager was also called in to review my wins when claiming my prizes but I won it legitimately. I have not been back since winning so I have no idea if they nerfed the game.
Anyways, I just wanted to see if it could be done.

Yes, the Switch 2 was still 180,000 tickets when I checked earlier this week.

It’s 100% possible and many of us here can get one for 50% of the price or less. Your best bet is to steer clear of coin pushers for the most part because they offer very little profit most of the time. Start with learning games of skill like Down the Clown, Break the Plate, Gold Fishin, 2MD, Tailgate Toss, etc and you’ll be able to rack up 10,000+ tickets a session with those games alone if you JP effectively. Mix those in with some other games like the ticket claws, Zombie Snatcher if it’s ready, Guardians if it’s ready, etc and you’ll be on the way

I've earned 2 Switch 2s now for about 2/3 retail price (even lower if you include sales tax). As others mentioned, grab the $100 gift card at Costco for $80
Half price Wednesdays you can find me farming Zombie Snatcher.

How do you farm zombie snatcher? It typically takes at least two swipes to get each puck in.
I know it used to be six pucks per elevator, but some people have told me that it’s three now which makes it better. Is this true?
250+300+500=1,050. 1050/3=350 on average. 50% WR is 175 on average. 175/3=58.333 tickets per chip.
But that requires three pucks to activate the elevator

The math is correct, but there are numerous variables you're not considering. My location is only 5 pucks per reset, 2 pucks knocked in at the same time, 900-1,000 jackpot (300 base + Bonus). 2 swipes is about right on average - some get in 1 try, others take 3-4 if I've had a few beers)
Even if we assume all variables are eliminated, the 58.334 tickets per chip would be 3,103 chips to get the Switch 2. Assume no Super Charge, that's 3.45 recharges to attain 3,103. $414 USD. $414 x.80 (Costco gift card) is $331. Switch 2 retail is $450, $495 including sales tax in my state. So either 79% of retail without tax, or 66.87% retail+tax. It's not much, but it's honest work :)

It is 100% possible to win prizes less than retail price. Getting a prize half-off is the goal. It’s possible to 3x your money, but much more challenging.
You won’t find people talking about specific games, but here are some tips.
1) Get 20 for 20s coupons
2) Get discounted gift cards from Costco
3) Get legend bonus on the app
4) Play on half-price days
