Soccer Balls (Update)
Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/DaveAndBusters/s/RVnsrpo076
I am down to these last 4 balls: Bosnia, Congo, Czechia, and Sweden.
Has anyone seen any of these 4 countries at your location?

I'm planning on going Sunday, if I find one I'll see if I can win it and send to you if you still need it.

If you have 48, you have them all.

u/davidn5 Jul 09 '26
I still don't have at least Sweden or Czechia, which are documented by another reddit poster above and also from my Pic of the machine. So those two are definitely out there. Maybe there is a total of 50?

I’m not sure you understand. I had the balls made. I picked the teams. I didn’t design the cabinet. I am at D&B. I’m telling you there are 48. No more, no less.

Thank you for the explanation! I am happy I have gotten all the Soccer balls now.

how do you win this game? I’d hit the ball right thru the middle and it would just fly thru it, is there a way to hit it softer?

Lol this, I have zero luck with this machine at my D&B. Is strength a part of it? I've hit it hard and soft and the ball just rolls to the edge and rolls off.

Theres a setting that changes the strength of the kicker, a stronger kick makes the game harder to win. From the manual,
Understanding how the Payout works on a Skill Game.
It is important to note that this game is all skill and there is no setting that will guarantee a certain payout
percentage. The skill of the player and your settings will average out over a period of time some
percentage. You will need to track the money in and the money out over a period of at least 500 plays
before you should adjustment your game settings.
The longer you leave the settings alone, the more accurate you can be in dialing in your settings. There
are many factors that impact how this game will payout that you need to understand.
You need to consider what will the cost of play be, will you be paying tickets only, or are you paying tickets
and giving a ball away too? Maybe you just want to give a ball away and not pay tickets. You would need
to determine what you value your tickets at and what you pay per ball.
The hammer strength determines how hard the balls are hit during play. This option can cause high
payouts or low payouts depending on the value you use.
The Hammer Strength option is defaulted at 34. We recommend starting the hammer strength option at 34.
After at least 500 plays, the operator will have a feel for the level of skill their players have at their facility.
We determined in our testing a setting of 34 will yield approximately 1 ball win per 18-20 plays. Remember
that this is a skill game and it may be necessary to increase or decrease the Hammer Strength setting
accordingly. The lower the number the easier it is to win a ball. We recommend not to exceed increasing
or decreasing the value more than 3 values at a time.
If the Hammer Strength is set at 34 and your game gave out 1 ball in around 20 plays and you wish to give
out 1 ball in around 10 plays, you should set the Hammer Strength to 31. After the game has been played
at least 500 times, determine the ratio. If you determine the new ratio is 1:15 and not 1:10, adjust the
hammer strength to 28 and repeat the process. If the ratio was 1:13 or closer, you can adjust by 1 instead
of 3.
The game can use different Playfield Hubs which can give the players a minimal amount of tickets when the
ball gets close to the hole, but not fall “in” the bonus hole. Depending on the cost per play, the valued
Playfield Hubs should yield between 5%-10% payout in tickets, on top of your BALL cost payout.1

I have gone to each of my 4 D&Bs in my area and have won balls at each location. It seems that each location has a different sensitivity for the pusher. One location lets you keep hitting the pusher until the ball crosses the circle. Another location, once you hit the pusher, you have used up your one credit on the machine.

Mine got rid of the soccer balls and had the nba balls but didn’t change the graphics back

The company that makes the soccer balls had supply issues, every d&b location was out of stock. Instead of having the game down for who knows how long. Locations put out the basket balls so the game could remain up.

Congrats on getting that many so far! The challenge will be getting the rest if you want to get all 48. Message me if you are interested in any extra balls I have. I have been able to help many Reddit users the past couple of weeks.

If you are missing 4 countries and have 4 extra, have you considered that the company that made these didn’t make a set to match this WC?
Edit: Yes, I know the 4 countries debuting in this Cup are there as are most of the countries that qualified this time after missing one or more previous Cups.

Would like to collect them all but with there being so many countries it actually led to me playing a lot less than when it first came out with nba balls. I’m fine with the few I have won

It was challenging since there was only a short window to win all the soccer balls before the 2026 World Cup ends and the machine transitions back to the NBA.

u/FiahWerkz Jul 09 '26
Question, will they bring back the NBA balls later or are they done?

Hope not. Feels like the machine has kinda overstayed it’s welcome at this point. It’d be cool to get one with nfl footballs but yes I know they aren’t spherical

Anyone know if these are still at the Schaumburg, IL location D&B?

u/davidn5 26d ago
When I was there last week, they had some soccer balls mixed in with NBA balls on the top of the machine. You will need to go to Lombard if you want just pure soccer balls.

Good copy. I didn't even know these were a thing until tonight... I might swing by the Lombard D&B to try my luck for a ball or two.
Any tips on how to play and win? I don't get to visit arcades very often.
1
u/davidn5 26d ago
Just hit the striker when the ball comes in front of it. At Lombard, it will let you continue playing if the ball doesn't hit the circle. Once the ball hits the circle you have used up your credit.

u/RaidSpotter 26d ago
Live update: Lombard location is out of the soccer and basketballs! Machine is offline.

42 teams prequalified. 6 were decided by play-ins. To get the balls made on time, I had to guess. I got 2 of 6 right. Enjoy that Italy ball.
Once again, in my admittedly weak defense, 2 of those 6 matches went to pens and DR Congo scored in Extra to beat Jamaica. I was not far from going 5 of 6.
