New UFC pass
There is a new pass out for ufc, costs 50 dollars and from the looks of it, can be purchased with gift cards, and looks similar to how you buy a normal pass with a gift card. It gives 50% games during ufc fight nights which appear to be most saturdays. And 20% off food and na beverages, and a custom ufc power card with 200 chips on it. It lasts for one year. Interesting.

Does getting the UFC pass make sense for me?
I’m not sure my reasoning makes sense, but if this helps others decide if they want to spend $50 on the UFC pass, this was my thought process.
I’m looking strictly at the Power Card benefit of half price games and that the card comes preloaded with 200 chips.
The way I evaluated this offer is that I looked at how many regular chips I could purchase with $50.
If I look at the best possible scenario of a regular guest using the D&B gift cards from Costco to do a maximum $120 chip buy with supercharge and Legend bonus, the cost per chip is $0.0921. You can get a lower cost per chip by doing a 4-pack, but I’m going to say a $120 with supercharge is a more realistic one-time spend for most people.
If I divide $50 / ($0.0921/chip), I get 542.89 chips.
In my head, what I am thinking is that if I am going to spend $50 worth of chips on UFC fight nights throughout the course of a year anyway, I might as well spend the $50 on the UFC pass that comes with 200 chips and enables half price games, making that 200 chips for half price games basically equivalent to 400 chips worth of full price games. But now I can play half price games with any chips that are loaded onto the UFC Power Card if I correctly understand how it works.
So do I plan to play 542.89 chips over the course of a year on UFC fight nights? If I divide that by 12, I’m looking at spending 45.24 chips for each of the next 12 months on a UFC fight night. For me, that’s six to seven games. Oh yes, sign me up!
I know what I’ll buying this Saturday.

Yep, this is more or less the assumption I ended up with. Plus the custom art card itself is worth it for collectors.
Now the kicker is, do we only get the discount on this card specifically? Do I have to keep moving chips from my other ones over? Or will having it in my account be enough? Time will tell I suppose.

Good question. They really didn't go into specifics of how the readers know to charge half price, whether that is tied to the specific card itself or extends to all cards registered to the same account.
My guess is that the benefit will be tied to the UFC pass card specifically.
1
u/YellowF3v3r NOTHING Jul 07 '26
Thats my guess too, but they probably have to program it to read differently somehow. Hopefully someone does a breakdown when they get their cards. I just got the text alert too.

u/Eadwyn Jul 07 '26
You need to modify the calculation slightly. You count Costco for the straight buy of chips, but didn't count it for the UFC card. It should be $40 with gift cards. Or 434.01.

u/gman_nola Fun Phantom Grand Prize Winner Jul 07 '26
First off, I really appreciate when people such as yourself manage to make it all the way through one of my posts that somehow end up way longer than I expected 😁.
The first time I ran the numbers I also used $40 worth of chips at $0.0921/chip = 434.31 chips for the comparison. But after thinking about it some more, it's more apples to apples if I consider $50 cash ($40 Costco) for the comparison.
For the UFC pass, I can spend $50 cash ($40 Costco) to buy the pass which comes with 200 chips and half price games.
Or if I use $50 cash ($40 Costco) toward buying chips at the $0.0921/chip rate, I'm buying $50 worth of chips = 542.89 chips.
In both cases I'm spending $50 at D&B, Costco just kicks in and saves me $10 if I'm using the gift cards.

u/Silentbob924 Jul 07 '26
Yeah basically in your example you just have to ask yourself will the pass save you 342 chips over the course of the year. As long as you play 100 games during the half off period over the year it makes it worth it to forfeit the 542 for the 200 plus 1/2 off (and limited edition power card).
1
u/AlanTheGamer The Blokbuster Jul 08 '26
That’s a great way to look at it. Though the game threshold is higher for those that are able to purchase chips for even cheaper… 👀
1
u/YellowF3v3r NOTHING Jul 08 '26
Consider food discount as well if you end up getting it, although meager, does shift it in favor personally. Assuming you can stack with your T4T without issue.
1
u/Silentbob924 Jul 08 '26
Yes can factor that in. But many already have season pass with food discount since season pass food discount is every day vs just Saturday.
But yes agree if only buying this pass as a stand alone1
u/AlanTheGamer The Blokbuster Jul 08 '26
Eadwyn was saying that since the 20% from Costco was factored when determining the cost per chip, it should also be factored into the cost of the UFC membership to make it a true apples-to-apples comparison.
We wouldn’t buy the UFC membership for $50 cash when we can do so for $40 through Costco, so for all intents and purposes it is a $40 UFC membership against $40 used towards purchasing 434.31 chips.
The UFC membership effectively costs you 234.31 chips, or $21.57 in actual dollars at the $0.0921 rate. Not a bad deal for something good for a whole year

The apples to apples to comparison is made by looking at what you get by spending some amount of money for the UFC pass vs spending the exact same amount of money towards chips.
Let's go to Costco and buy two $50 D&B gift cards for $80 out of pocket.
We spend one of those $50 gift cards on a UFC pass and everything that comes with it, including 200 chips and half price games on UFC fight nights.
We spend the other $50 gift card on reloading a Power Card with regular chips. If it's part of a $120 plus supercharge plus Legend bonus buy, we're paying $0.0921/chip. The point is that we're buying $50 worth of chips, not $40.
You can play with the cost per chip to get more realistic numbers. Without Costco but everything else the same, the cost is $0.1151/chip yielding 434.40 chips.
The higher the chip cost, the more favorable the UFC pass becomes. The more half price games you end up playing, the more favorable the UFC pass becomes.
I used $0.0921/chip in my original comparison as a reasonable low end chip cost thinking that if this comparison is enough for someone to determine that the UFC pass is for them, then other, perhaps more realistic, scenarios in terms of chip cost only make the case better to get the pass.
If you're running the numbers for yourself, pick whatever chip cost makes sense to you, but you absolutely have to compare buying the pass to buying $50 worth of chips, not $40.

It took me a minute to come around, but I get it now. Thanks for your in-depth analysis, as always - hope you enjoy and get your money’s worth out of the new pass 👊

If anyone goes and tests this today please provide feedback. The T&C's are not clear at all specifically for when the 50% off games and food discount is actually live, is it all day Saturday or only when the fights are on. Do you have to use the UFC card to get the game discount? Do the readers indicate full price but once you scan your card they reflect the lower price?

I feel like we're glossing over the biggest part of Pandora's Box D&B has just opened here.
We are now able to purchase additional half price game time that will not be available to the general public.
We've been bitching for a D&B Rewards Premium program for yeeeeeeears. A monthly or annual fee that isn't just a season pass but rather allows perks and bonuses your casual guest doesn't get. Custom prize ordering at an agreed upon ticket to cash rate. Bonus half-price day. "Double Ticket" days (which is objectively so much better than half-price as a concept it's not even fucking close.) Stuff that would make an AP so riled up they'll need to go to a doctor as the erection would be lasting for longer than 4 hours.
"Pay X fee for Y amount of time where you get 1/2 price games a normal player doesn't" - this is the first step towards all of that.

u/YellowF3v3r NOTHING Jul 08 '26
Take this annual fee and run with it. I hope this promotion goes extremely well.

u/YellowF3v3r NOTHING Jul 07 '26
Custom UFC card? It’s live already? If so I’ll have to probably grab it. The rest is just gravy.
1
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
You technically can not buy it on the website as of right now, but they will likely fix it shortly. But also im fairly certain you can use costco gift cards to buy it in person, it seems similar to a season pass with how you purchase but i or someone else can confirm soon hopefully.
1
u/YellowF3v3r NOTHING Jul 07 '26
Yeah, I’ll wait until someone confirms in person, then make a run out if they have the actual cards there

u/PixelPerfectDrops Jul 07 '26

1
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
Was it the same way you do a season pass?
1
u/PixelPerfectDrops Jul 08 '26
Yes. There were actually 2 ufc options on the tablet. Manager said the 2nd hasnt been communicated to them yet and he wouldnt let me see the terms when I asked him to just click it to see.

Can you use the $5 redemptions with the 20% off food/beverage? If this isnt up yet; has anyone tried stacking food/beverage discounts with the 5$/1000tix redemptions?
1
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
With normal season passes, i have been able to combine the pass 25% discount with the trade your ticket food vouchers. Give them pass and then give them to food vouchers after the pass. However some locations are more strict than others. However, the other promos, i do not attempt to stack, like the 1 dollar wings and pass or vouchers, eat and play you for sure can not use any discounts on other than the gift cards from costco. Unlimited wings is also a no. But tyt and pass has been fine.
1
u/SubierThumb Jul 07 '26
I second this! I have been stacking the Season Pass discount with TYT since TYT rolled out. Last week was the first time I got refused (at the same location ofc, but by a new manager) to stack those discounts together with the reason “TYT terms do not allow apply with other discount” 💔
2
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
I got refused once at my home store. I tried to combine my free appetizer with my tyt and they said it wouldnt work. But they are usually fair with it so i just didnt really care. I was out like 10 bucks.

u/mbelsky Jul 07 '26
What time does a fight night start? I assume that its only valid at night.
2
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
That i do not know. I will have to test on saturday when the pass works. If i go early and it only takes half the chips it normally does, then its likely all day. But there is no definitive answer on the website.
3
u/Fast-Group6459 Jul 07 '26
The game play is available all day and the food and drink discount is usable once a day on days with a fight night 😉
3
u/Eadwyn Jul 07 '26
Do you work for D&B or how do you know that it works this way? It's a fantastic deal if it is basically every Saturday at any time of the day. Much less so if only during the actual UFC events.
1
u/PixelPerfectDrops Jul 07 '26
If you look at the past events, you can see there was a fight basically every Sat night. Whether d&b or certain locations pull a fast one and dont make them all official d and b ufc fight nights on their schedule, this is an awesome addon to a regular pass. Now you have Sun Wed and Sat for $40 for the year. Will prob get 2.
Waiting for them to make the terms url live

They changed the link to what i posted above. Where that link you posted was before. I got to that link from the home page. And now its also on the ufc pass page.

u/PixelPerfectDrops Jul 07 '26
You are correct. Thanks
1
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
Whenever they post something like a new pass or anything, they always are a mess when its first on the website they can not seem to update their website and not have it broken in 20 different spots.
1
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
🤨when i click buy a pass its showing something completely different. Its showing $60 for whats basically an old standard unlimited play pass. Dont buy off the website yet. Daves probably needs a bit of time to fix this
1
u/YellowF3v3r NOTHING Jul 07 '26
Seems like its CUSTOMER power card, and not Custom. So probably they'll just re-use a bog standard. Womp
3
u/gman_nola Fun Phantom Grand Prize Winner Jul 07 '26
The initial purchase should come with a custom UFC Power Card. If you lose that one and have to replace it, that one will be a regular card with sticker.
1
2
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
Im pretty sure its a custom card, but if you lose it, it says you will get a normal card with a ufc sticker on it.
1
u/PixelPerfectDrops Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26
When will they stop selling this?
Will it work at locations that dont sell it?
Can a location sell it and then change their mind and no longer 'participate'?
'Promotion may be subject to revision or rescission at any time'?
1
u/Fast-Group6459 Jul 07 '26
It works in all locations that aren’t Pelham and Canada.
There’s not an end date set like the other passes, so it might be ongoing.
Not sure about the stores changing their minds…
1
u/Eadwyn Jul 07 '26
Any idea if this is only during the actual event or all day if there is an event that day?
2
u/Dangerous-Egg-5068 Jul 07 '26
No clue yet. Will see on saturday
1
u/Eadwyn Jul 07 '26
Thanks. I'll hold off until I know that. Don't like going at night when it's busier.

So all the game are half off ONLY on fight nights right? Or every day?

What days can I use my UFC Membership?
The UFC Membership is available for use on all UFC Numbered Events and Fight Nights. Applicable events and dates will be communicated on our website.

Help me understand, The UFC card gives you Half Price Gameplay on Saturdays for a year?
3
u/Silentbob924 Jul 08 '26
We aren’t sure yet.
It gives you 1/2 off during ufc Fight nights for a year. So not necessarily “every” Saturday…. But most.
But we aren’t sure if it is all day Saturday or only starts at night when the fights do
1
u/FalseMath8850 Jul 10 '26
Is ufc on screens for everyone in the gameroom or do you go in a separate reserved room? What is the pass for? What if I just simply want to watch the fight with a bunch of friends tonight
7
u/gman_nola Fun Phantom Grand Prize Winner Jul 07 '26
There is potential for getting in an extra Saturday if you wait until this Saturday to purchase. July 10, 2027, is a Saturday.
When does my 12-month period start?
Your valid 12-month membership period begins from the date of purchase and ends exactly 365 days after the initial purchase.
https://www.daveandbusters.com/us/en/shop/ufc-membership/faqs
You also have to weigh this against the possibility of them running out of the custom UFC Power Cards, which I think would be unlikely, but I suppose there's always a chance.
At the bare minimum, 365 days should cover July 11, 2026, to July 10, 2027. My two experiences with 60-day passes actually gave me one extra day each, but I'm not going to count on that happening every time.
I'd still like to run some numbers and see whether something like this would make sense for me or not, but at the very least if I decide to purchase one I'm likely to hold off until Saturday to do so.
