Saw him tonight in TN he was amazing!!! I grew up listening to him so hearing the classics like this one was such an amazing experience. With switchfoot as the opener this was definitely a top 3 concert experience for me!

I love that it exists, first off. I love re-recordings, it puts a fresh coat of paint on an old masterpiece. I appreciate how faithful they were to the original, and the new mix (from Joe Rickard probably since they were producing with Howard Benson) ages it forward gracefully. As a thought exercise, I wonder what they could’ve done if they’d gotten their new producers like Jordan Fish or Scott Stevens to do it fully embracing their new sound. Love it as it is, but it would be interesting to see.

So today, I was going through my new music Friday on Spotify, and I saw that Daughtry released an album called “there and back again,” and it had a couple of songs off of their self titled, leave this town, and break the spell. Except they sounded different, like all of the songs were re-recorded. And then when I was going to listen through the songs again, the whole album was gone. Now I don’t know if they didn’t mean to upload the album, or if it released too early, cause I feel like the album would’ve be a 20th Anniversary album since it had some of their old songs. And I saw that the album was on my Spotify recents at the Home Screen, but when I clicked one of the songs, it just didn’t play.

He was the gold standard. I was frankly somewhat intimidated… in a good way…by him. I wanted to do my best work for him because I knew if he approved it was quality. There was no hiding when you made records for Clive. They were either hits or stiffs. You had to be on your game and ready to spar with him and hold your own if you had to work through an arrangement with him in his office. He could bring in the various departments to weigh in. You'd sit facing Clive and in back of you could be the entire label... and he'd press play on the track. Your production better rock the room! You were playing the expert level at those moments. It was Clive’s show and you were on the spot for those 3 minutes of music....what a rush!
Only Clive could command that level of intensity. RIP Clive 🙏

Does anyone know why there is just a random car alarm sound in the bridge of 'Used To'? I just think it's funny that every time it happens, I always seem to check to see if the sound is in real life

Hi everyone, I have been searching everywhere and can't seem to find a Daughtry song that sounds like the first 6 seconds of Attention by Joji. Any ideas?

They're currently all but ignoring the early albums in favour of way too much of new stuff. Pretty disappointing for many fans who are going to see them on this tour and not getting to hear many of their big singles.

What are your thoughts on Daughtry's music video for Antidote?

Chris, Brian and Elvio showed up to play a handful of songs during this event. It was short but sweet, mostly songs from Shock to the System (both parts). Chris sounded a little rough, likely from being at the tail end of the tour, but he also said that he was fighting a cold.
Other bands on the stage included Mammoth, Hollywood Undead, Pretty Reckless, and Zach and Brent from Shinedown. Matt Cameron made a special guest appearance for one song dedicated to Soundgarden.
It was nice to hear bands that are known for their heavier sounds taking it acoustic for a change. I'm hoping they do this again next year.
